Baron is one of the confirmed fighters in The Hidden Ones. He stands apart from most of the announced lineup because his background is modern and military rather than a martial sect or a family school. The developer introduced him through its own per-fighter gameplay guide series, published alongside recruitment for the first pre-alpha test.
Overview
The developer describes Baron as a retired special forces soldier who fights with a superhuman physique and skilled combat techniques. His guide bills him as a master of special defensive skills, which puts him on the defensive end of a roster that otherwise leans on sect lineages and inherited techniques.

Combat Style
Baron's offense runs on the same foundation as every other fighter. The Combat System is built on basic attacks, skills, blocks, and dodges, with color-coded attack tells and a stamina economy that applies to the whole roster. What his guide singles out is the defensive half of that loop: where other fighters are introduced through the power they channel, Baron is introduced through how he absorbs and answers pressure. The resource that governs that side of play is covered on Stamina and Defense.
His guide does not describe a supernatural power. Every other announced fighter is framed around a named technique, an artifact, or a lineage, so a purely physical, technique-driven kit is currently unusual on this roster.
What Has Not Been Confirmed
The developer notes that character and skill names shown in these guides are subject to the official in-game versions, so wording may change before launch. No numeric stats, frame data, or full movelists have been published for any fighter.
Baron's role in the campaign has not been described, and it has not been stated whether he is part of the launch lineup or a later addition. The size of that lineup is still unsettled, as covered on Characters.
