Cheng is the main protagonist of The God Slayer. He is an Elemancer who leads the resistance against the divine Celestials.

Background

Cheng lost his family when the Celestials conquered the kingdom, killing the king and many Elemancers in a single night. This devastating attack drives Cheng's mission of revenge and liberation.

As an Elemancer, Cheng possesses the ability to harness Qi into elemental powers - the very abilities that angered the Celestials and led to their attack on humanity.

Role

Cheng leads the human resistance against the Celestials' divine rule. His 40-hour journey takes him through the steampunk metropolis of the Zhou Kingdom as he builds the resistance and confronts the gods.

Abilities

As an Elemancer, Cheng wields the five elemental powers:

• Fire

• - Water

• - Earth

• - Metal

• - Wood

These abilities allow him to fight against the Celestials despite their divine power, representing humanity's defiance against their oppressors.

Motivation

Cheng's primary motivation is revenge for his family and liberation for humanity. The Celestials farm humans for Qi energy, and Cheng refuses to accept this fate, choosing instead to fight back against impossible odds.
