The Celestials are the gods who created the world in The God Slayer. They rule over humanity and serve as the main antagonists.

Overview

The Celestials created the world and everything in it. The world runs on Qi, which the Celestials extract from humans for their own use.

Conflict with Humanity

When humans figured out how to channel Qi into elemental powers, creating the first Elemancers, the Celestials saw it as a threat. They responded by attacking the strongest human kingdom, killing its king and all its Elemancers in a single night. The message was clear: defy us and die.

Rule

After their attack, the Celestials continue to rule humanity and harvest Qi from people. Humans are treated as a resource.

Opposition

Some humans refuse to accept Celestial rule. Elemancers who survived or appeared after the initial attack form resistance movements, using elemental powers to fight back.

Role in Story

Cheng spends the game's 40-hour story building a resistance capable of challenging the Celestials.
