I keep accidentally giving NPCs stuff they don't like and losing friendship points. Is there a cheat sheet somewhere that shows what each NPC loves/likes/dislikes? The in-game social menu only shows preferences after you've discovered them which isn't helpful when you're trying to figure things out.
The wiki has a full NPC Gift Chart that lists every NPC's Favorite, Like, Neutral, Dislike, and Hate gifts. Bookmark that page and you're set.
Quick universal tips though:
- Favorite gifts give +15 affection, Liked gives +10, Neutral gives +5
- You can give one gift per day per character
- Each NPC's favorites match their personality: Neona (mechanic) loves ores like Copper and Aurorite, Delphin (fisherman) loves flowers and sashimi, Bruce loves bugs and insects
- The Social App on your phone tracks which gifts each NPC liked or disliked after you've given them
Pro tip: the Social App on your phone has a Preference tab for each NPC (the heart symbol) that records their reactions to gifts you've given them. It tracks what they liked and disliked so you don't have to remember everything. Also, the phone has an NPC tracking feature that puts a waypoint on screen to help you find whoever you're looking for.
