11 Michael Hero is one of the companions who travel with Chigusa Choko. The publisher's English announcement copy introduces him simply as a companion, and he appears in the gamescom 2026 trailer as a mullet-wearing figure. The spelling above is the official English one.

88 In the build shown at gamescom 2026, Michael Hero accompanies Choko in a wheelchair. Nothing in the demo explains why, and as of September 2026 the studio has not commented on it. He walks with her through the opening section alongside Bubba, and back at the camp he has pitched a tent outside the RV, where the player can go and talk to him. The build also included a side quest of his touching on childhood bullying and a childhood idol, seen in a single session of that demo.
