Season 3: Lead-Type Dream
Season 3 of Roco Kingdom: World, Lead-Type Dream (铅字幻梦), went live on July 16, 2026. Covers the seven new northern regions, the Eternal Night and White Moon cycle, extreme-temperature zones, the three new lamps, the server-wide contribution system, and the season legendary Gal.
On This Page
Season 3 of Roco Kingdom: World is titled Lead-Type Dream (铅字幻梦). It went live on July 16, 2026 after an overnight maintenance window, following Season 2, and it is the largest content drop since launch: seven new open-world regions, two new environmental combat systems, a new main-story chapter, and a season legendary spirit.
The season's framing is a picture book whose written wishes escape the page and spread across the Kaluoxi'a Continent as a new fairy tale. Painting, wishing, and photography are the recurring motifs, and the season adventure that carries them is called Spirit Fairy Tale (精灵童话).
Update Window and Rewards
The update ran as a package-replacement maintenance rather than a hot patch, so every client had to be reinstalled or repatched before logging back in.

The Seven New Regions
Season 3 opens the northern half of the Kaluoxi'a Continent. All seven regions are additions to the existing open world rather than instanced content, and they connect to the areas covered on the World Map and Locations page. No English client has shipped yet, so the Chinese name is the authoritative identifier and the English form below is a literal translation used for convenience. An official English build is coming: a worldwide release was announced on August 25, 2026, and a closed beta in English and Japanese opens on October 27, 2026. The studio has said that build's localisation is not final, so names here may be superseded once official English terms are published.
Region (English) | Chinese | Character |
|---|---|---|
威廉古堡 | Candlelit corridors under permanent night. The hub of the new main-story chapter. | |
淘晶镇 | A crystal-panning settlement on the approach to the crystal country. | |
迷雾之森 | Low-visibility woodland between the castle grounds and the crystal belt. | |
仪式镇 | A settlement built around ceremony and observance. | |
结晶森林 | Crystalline woodland that catches and scatters light. | |
金水河谷 | The bright, open counterweight to the castle: clear skies and river country. | |
巨人裂谷 | A fissure split between severe cold and scorching heat, each with its own battle rules. |
Eternal Night and White Moon
William Castle and its neighbouring regions sit under permanent night. Wild spirits there appear in a shadow state that has to be dispelled before they behave normally. When the White Moon rises the shadows clear and the spirit energy ceiling lifts to 99 points, but that energy then drains steadily; specific areas restore it. The cycle is covered in full on Eternal Night and White Moon.
Extreme Temperature
Giant's Rift carries severe-cold and scorching zones that accelerate magic drain and change how skills behave in battle.
Zone | Battle rule |
|---|---|
Severe cold (严寒) | Repeating a skill costs 1 extra energy. |
Scorching (炙热) | Skills ignite, and using them costs health. |
New Creations and Server-Wide Contribution
Three new lamps were added as upgradeable creations: the Starfire Lamp (星火灯), the Starfrost Lamp (星霜灯), and the Pumpkin Lamp (南瓜灯). They hold off the new environmental effects and support exploration in the northern regions.
Raising creation levels also feeds a server-wide contribution system. Two statues, the Prayer Sent to the White Tree (寄往白树的祈福) and the Sprout of the Wish Tree (美愿树的萌芽), convert accumulated contribution into buffs that apply to everyone on the server rather than to the individual contributor.
Gal, the Season Legendary
The season legendary is Gal (加尔), described in official copy as the spirit that grants wishes for lucky Rocos. Acquisition runs through the Spirit Fairy Tale story rather than through any paid channel.
Step | What happens |
|---|---|
Fairy Tale chapter 1 | Grants Galing's Egg (加灵的蛋). The player picks its nature and its individual-value tendency. |
Fairy Tale chapter 4 | Opens the Gal Legend Challenge, which consumes marks to form the contract. |
Final forms | Two: Gal (加尔) and Corrupted Gal (黑化加尔). |
Other New Spirits
Eight new spirit families and sixteen special shiny variants arrive with the season and are obtainable only through the Season Adventure track. Two further spirits are tied to the season pass: the Walnut Prince (胡桃王子) and the Centrifugal Dancer (离心舞者). The season pass itself is covered on Season Pass and Monetization.
The season also introduces the Dream Badge (幻梦徽章), which raises Starlight Value efficiency by up to 70 percent.
Main Story
A commission from Principal Griffin sends the player toward the source of the kingdom's transformation, deep inside the castle. It continues the thread picked up in Main Story and gives the new northern regions their narrative spine.
Grass Badge Trial
The season's headline post-launch addition is the Grass Badge Trial, which opened on July 30 at 12:00 as the first live entry in the game's eight-badge series. The trial runs at the Field Research Institute (野外研究院) under the guidance of the researcher Roland (罗兰), and clearing content around it can surface a new leader form, Martial Cool Cat (武斗酷猫). Community reports describe the format as a gauntlet: one spirit faces a series of opponent groups and a failed run starts over, though the official posts do not spell out the ruleset in that detail.
Rolling Events
Lead-Type Dream runs on a dense rotating calendar. Season-long fixtures opened with the update on July 16 and most close on September 10, which is also where the season's battle-pass window ends. Weekly and biweekly events cycle inside that frame.
Event | Window | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Kingdom Pact sign-in (王国之约) | July 16 to September 10 | Season-long sign-in rewards. |
Secret Gift in the Garden (花园里的秘密礼物) | July 24 to September 10 | Task event themed on the Sleep-Bell Snow Shadow Doll; follow the scent trail of the sleep-bell letter. |
July 16 to 31, then July 31 to August 14 | Round 1 targets Night Eve, Urata (polar-day form), and Jouka; round 2 swaps to the picture-book families: Painting Mage Hand, Painting Iron Beast, Scroll Consul, and Scroll Casket Golem. | |
Same two rounds as Destined Flower Seeds | Photography counterpart with the same target spirits. | |
July 24 to August 14 | Fresh run for the season. | |
July 27 to August 10 | New quick-fire 3v3 event; the first run fields leader-bloodline spirits only. | |
Weekly, Monday to Monday | Continues its weekly refresh through the season. | |
Mass outbreaks (大量出没) | Weekend windows | Sea Helm Bug (July 17 to 20), Little Snipe (July 24 to 27), Yibei'er (July 31 to August 3), Keli Chicken (August 7 to 10). Egg-hatch acceleration weekends ran alongside the first two. |
July 31 to August 14 | Annual-Ring Poetry Society outfit set: spirit parent-and-child outfits with battle-entry interactions. |
Spirit Family Reveals
Official dex posts introduced the season's wild families in weekly waves alongside their outbreak windows: the rock-like, light-shy Sea Helm Bug (海盔虫), the gliding shorebird Little Snipe (小鹬), the moss-topped, jelly-bodied Yibei'er (伊贝儿), the flammable-combed Keli Chicken (可立鸡), and the scent-drowsy Sleep-Bell Snow Shadow Doll (睡铃雪影娃娃). Names are literal translations and the Chinese names are the authoritative identifiers, since no English client has shipped yet. An English and Japanese closed beta opens on October 27, 2026.
Balance
The season shipped a wide balance pass alongside the content. Change records cover hundreds of dex entries: skills added to learn sets through skill books, adjustments to skill power and energy cost, and new Lord forms attached to existing spirits. Individual figures are recorded on the affected spirit pages rather than duplicated here.
Season End
Season 3 closed at 04:00 on September 10, 2026, when Season 4: Moon Surge Rhapsody went live. The official farewell framed the close as shutting the last page of the season’s fairy-tale book, and an overnight slow stream ran from midnight on September 10 until the new season opened.
A pre-season notice on September 9 confirmed the handover details: the Cosmic Pioneer monthly pack replaced the outgoing bundle, and the first Collegiate Invitational opened on the same day as the new season. Season 3 activity windows that were still open at the changeover, including the Grass Badge Trial, were carried across rather than cut short.
