Corrected the bridging sentence to fifteen characters and stated that both sibling detectives carry Gravitas
11Overview223344Silver Palace features seven confirmed element types, each with a Latin-inspired name and a distinct gameplay identity. Official material calls a character's element their Reactor attribute. Elements define the move sets and abilities of each character rather than feeding into a traditional elemental reaction system, which Silver Palace does not use. Instead, each element shapes how a character fights, what tactical role they fill on a team, and which Resonance Effect they trigger.5566An element is channelled through a Silverium Reactor, which is where the in-game name for it comes from. The Reactor attribute sets a character's damage type, the properties of their skills, and which Resonance Effect fires when their meter fills.7788Confirmed Elements991010Ignis (Fire)11111212Ignis is the fire element, focused on burst damage output. Ignis characters excel at dealing large amounts of damage in short windows, making them natural choices for DPS roles. During the Monotype Beta, three characters carried the Ignis element: Cinderella, Cynthia II, and Alf. Having three Ignis characters in the beta roster made fire the most represented element, giving players ample opportunity to test Ignis Resonance effects.13131414Ignis damage carries burning effects that tick over time, and it works well against ice-based enemies.15151616Glacies (Ice)17171818Glacies is the ice element, specializing in crowd control and slowing effects. Glacies abilities reduce enemy movement speed and attack speed, creating openings for the rest of the team to capitalize on. Argos is the known Glacies character from the beta. His cane-sword fighting style combined with ice-based crowd control made him effective at locking down dangerous enemies.19192020Glacies pairs with Ignis in team composition, because Cinderella deals enhanced damage against frozen enemies. That is a per-character interaction rather than a general elemental rule, since the game has no elemental reaction system.21212222Fulmen (Lightning)23232424Fulmen is the lightning element, built around staggering and interrupting enemies. Fulmen attacks can knock opponents mid-action, disrupting their attack patterns and leaving them vulnerable. Lorin is the known Fulmen character, fighting with electric boxing gloves that deliver rapid stun-inducing strikes.25252626Gravitas (Gravity)27272828Gravitas is the gravity element, enabling gravity manipulation and time dilation effects. This is the element associated with the Detective (the player's main character). Gravitas abilities can alter the physics of the battlefield, pulling enemies together or slowing them through gravitational force. The time dilation aspect gives Gravitas a unique tactical identity that no other element replicates.29293030Radiatio (Radiation)31313232Radiatio is the radiation element, focused on damage-over-time effects, debuffs, and sustained pressure. Rather than dealing damage in single large hits, Radiatio characters apply lingering effects that wear enemies down over time. Firtho is the known Radiatio character, using a saw cleaver weapon and needle-based abilities to apply persistent damage.33333434Radiatio effects stack rather than spike, which makes them strongest against enemies with large health pools that survive long enough for the debuffs to accumulate.35353636Ferrugo (Rust/Corrosion)37373838Ferrugo is an element associated with rust or corrosion. It is the one element that still has no playable carrier after both closed betas, so its mechanics and combat role remain undocumented. The thematic connection to decay and corrosion suggests it may involve armour reduction, defence debuffs, or degradation effects, but that is speculation until a carrier exists to demonstrate it.39394040Alba (White/Light)41414242Alba is an element associated with white light. It had no playable carrier during the first closed beta and gained its first in the second: Gucia, a Saviour. The element's name (Latin for "white" or "dawn") had suggested healing, purification, or radiant damage themes, and a support-flavoured class for its first carrier is at least consistent with that, but the specific mechanics have still not been detailed.43434444Resonance and the Reactor Attribute45454646A character's element is what their Resonance Effect keys off. Each character builds their own Resonance meter as they attack, and when it fills, a Resonance Effect is triggered based on that character's Reactor attribute, significantly increasing the damage they deal. The element decides the flavour of the effect; the individual character decides when it fires.47474848This is not a team-composition mechanic. An earlier reading of Resonance, in which a party of matching elements unlocked a shared area-of-effect burst, was superseded by the description published ahead of the second closed beta. Element still matters when picking a team, but as a question of which enemy types the party can answer, not as a Resonance trigger. See the Resonance article for the full account, and character switching for how swapping interacts with per-character meters.49495050No Elemental Reactions51515252Unlike some competing titles in the genre, Silver Palace does not use an elemental reaction system where applying one element to an enemy affected by another triggers a bonus effect. Each element's effects stand on their own. This design choice simplifies team building in some respects, since players do not need to worry about specific element pairings, while placing greater emphasis on individual character kits and the Resonance system. The Combat System article covers how elements interact with QTEs, parries, and other core mechanics.53535454Known Character-Element Assignments55555656The following character-element pairings were confirmed across the two closed betas:57575858CharacterElementDetectiveGravitasCinderellaIgnisCynthia IIIgnisAlfIgnisArgosGlaciesFirthoRadiatioLorinFulmenRed RoseIgnisGratiaGlaciesBenthamGlaciesRexFulmenGrimmFulmenCaptain KaboomRadiatioGuciaAlba59-The first seven rows were playable in the Monotype Beta, also called the Identity Test, and the rest joined in the Dichotomy Beta. The official character index carries fifteen filled profiles across sixteen avatar slots, and the Detective accounts for two of those profiles, listed under the epithets The Raven's Claws and The Raven's Beak. The table above therefore runs to fourteen rows for fifteen profiles: the pair shares a single Gravitas entry.59+The first seven rows were playable in the Monotype Beta, also called the Identity Test, and the rest joined in the Dichotomy Beta. The official character index carries fifteen filled profiles across sixteen avatar slots, covering fifteen characters. Two of those profiles belong to the sibling detectives Muninn, listed as The Raven's Claws, and Huginn, listed as The Raven's Beak. Both siblings carry Gravitas, so the table above runs to fourteen rows for fifteen profiles.60606161Read the other way round, by element:62626363ElementPlayable carriersCountIgnisCinderella, Cynthia II, Alf, Red Rose4GlaciesArgos, Gratia, Bentham3FulmenLorin, Rex, Grimm3RadiatioFirtho, Captain Kaboom2GravitasThe Detective1AlbaGucia1FerrugoNone06464Gucia carries Alba as a four-star Saviour, which does not settle whether the element leans toward healing as the name's light-and-dawn association suggested, but it does put its first carrier in a support-flavoured class. Six of the seven elements now have at least one playable carrier. Ferrugo is the exception and has yet to be given one.65656666The distribution also softens the first test's Ignis skew. Ignis is still the largest group, but Glacies and Fulmen now have three carriers each, which makes single-element team building practical for more than one element for the first time.67676868Latin Naming69697070All seven element names are Latin words: Ignis (fire), Glacies (ice), Fulmen (lightning), Gravitas (gravity or weight), Radiatio (radiation), Ferrugo (rust), Alba (white or dawn). The naming convention fits the Victorian academic aesthetic of Silvernia. Seven names have been published and no eighth has been named.
