11Overview22Seeds and crops are the foundation of Pokemon Pokopia's farming system. After unlocking the Rototiller move from Drilbur, you can till soil, plant seeds, and grow crops that serve as ingredients for cooking recipes. Crops are also required for building vegetable field habitats like the Fresh Veggie Field. The game has three primary crop types: Beans, Tomatoes, Wheat, and Potatoes.44Getting Started66Before you can plant anything, you need the Rototiller move. Find Drilbur in the eastern area of Withered Wasteland and help it water dry soil. Plant Bean Seeds and wait for them to mature. Beans are the primary ingredient in Hamburger Steaks, which power up Rock Smash. Drilbur gives you 5 Bean Seeds at the start of your farming journey, and you can buy more from the Pokemon Center shop for 50 Life Coins per 5 bags.2122Tomatoes2324Tomatoes require watering to grow. Use Water Gun on planted tomato fields, or place them near a water source for automatic dampening. Each tomato vine yields 3 tomatoes when harvested. Tomato Seeds become available in the Pokemon Center shop after reaching Environment Level 3 in Bleak Beach. You can also find wild tomato vines in Bleak Beach's northern water area.2526Wheat2728Wheat requires watering and is used primarily in Bread recipes, which power up Cut. Wheat Seeds are harder to find early in the game. Building vegetable field habitats is a practical way to combine your farm with Pokemon attraction.5152Initiation Challenge5354The second Initiation Challenge requires you to collect 10 Beans, 10 Tomatoes, and 10 Wheat (30 total vegetables). Make sure to start farming all four crop types as early as possible to meet this requirement without unnecessary waiting.5556Tips5758Plant beans first since they grow without watering. Use them to start cooking Hamburger Steaks early.Keep Bulbasaur near your fields at all times. Its Grow specialty cuts crop growth time dramatically.Set up a Squirtle with a water basin near your tomato and wheat fields for fully automated irrigation.Use Cut (ZR) to harvest mature crops in bulk instead of picking them one by one with Y.Befriended Pokemon with high Comfort Levels occasionally gift seeds, providing a free supply over time.Start growing all four crop types before reaching the second Initiation Challenge to avoid a long wait for the 30-vegetable requirement.
