11Overview2233Cooking is a core gameplay system in Pokemon Pokopia that allows players to prepare meals from gathered ingredients. Eating cooked food fully restores PP and powers up a specific Ditto transformation move, upgrading its range, power, or unlocking additional effects. There are four food types (Salad, Soup, Bread, Hamburger Steak), each with six recipe variants, for a total of 24 recipes.4455Unlocking Cooking6677Cooking is unlocked during the Rocky Ridges storyline when the player rescues Chef Dente, a special Greedent trapped inside a barrel. Use the Cut ability on the chains binding him, and he will teach the player how to cook meals. Chef Dente has the Party specialty, which increases cooking yields when cooking alongside the player.88991010Cooking Stations11111212Each food type requires a specific cooking station and heat source:13131414Food TypeStationHeat SourceMove BoostedSaladChopping BoardNone neededLeafageSoupCooking PotStove or CampfireWater GunBreadBread OvenBurn-specialty Pokemon requiredCutHamburger SteakFrying PanStove or CampfireRock Smash1515Stoves and Campfires both work as heat sources for Soups and Hamburger Steaks. The Bread Oven requires a Pokemon with the Burn specialty (such as Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Torchic, or Combusken) to operate. Place a Storage Box next to any cooking station so you can pull ingredients directly from storage without carrying everything.16161717Flavors18181919There are five flavors in Pokemon Pokopia. Each Pokemon has a favorite flavor listed in their Pokedex entry. Giving a Pokemon food with their preferred flavor increases their Comfort Level more than food of other flavors.20202121FlavorDescriptionSweetLoved by many gentle and cute PokemonSpicyPreferred by energetic and fire-affiliated PokemonDryFavored by composed and intellectual PokemonBitterPreferred by tough and earthy PokemonSourLiked by playful and mischievous Pokemon2222Recipes marked N/A for flavor are basic versions that have no flavor profile. They still restore PP and boost the associated move, but do not provide a flavor bonus for Pokemon Comfort.23232424Salad Recipes25252626Salads are prepared on a Chopping Board and boost the Leafage transformation. After eating a salad, Leafage can create duckweed on water surfaces and remove moss from rocks and flooring.27272828RecipeIngredientsSpecialty RequiredFlavorSimple SaladLeaf x1, Any x1NoneN/ALeppa SaladLeaf x1, Leppa Berry x1NoneSweetSeaweed SaladLeaf x1, Seaweed x1NoneBitterShredded SaladLeaf x1, Any x1ChopSourCrushed-Berry SaladLeaf x1, Chesto Berry x1CrushDryCrouton SaladLeaf x1, Simple Bread x1NoneSpicy2929Soup Recipes30303131Soups are cooked in a Cooking Pot over a Stove or Campfire and boost the Water Gun transformation. After eating a hamburger steak, Rock Smash temporarily breaks through all materials including granite, stone, steel, crystal, and ore blocks. This upgrade is essential for mining Iron Ore, Copper Ore, Gold Ore, and Pokemetal. All hamburger steak recipes use Bean as the base ingredient.43434444RecipeIngredientsSpecialty RequiredFlavorSimple Hamburger SteakBean x1, Any x3NoneN/ATomato Hamburger SteakBean x1, Tomato x1, Any x2NoneSourPotato Hamburger SteakBean x1, Potato x1, Any x2NoneSweetMushroom Hamburger SteakBean x1, Cave Mushrooms x1, Any x2NoneDryBitter Hamburger SteakBean x1, Lum Berry x1, Aspear Berry x1, Rawst Berry x1NoneBitterlively Hamburger SteakBean x1, Potato x1, Any Salad x1, Any x1NoneN/A4545The Bitter Hamburger Steak is the only recipe that requires three specific berries alongside the Bean, leaving no room for filler ingredients. The dominant flavor of the food determines the buff granted. Cooked food has stronger effects than raw ingredients. Buffs last until 5:00 AM the next day.58585959Flavor OfferedBuff EffectSweetBoosts Ancient Artifact discovery ratesSpicyIncreases habitat spawn rates for PokemonDryAttracts rare-feathered Pokemon; Rainbow and Silver Feathers spawn more easilyBitterImproves rare item drop ratesSourImproves shop inventory qualityNo Flavor (Neutral)Raises friendship rate with Pokemon6060The Dry flavor buff is particularly valuable for players hunting Legendary Pokemon, since Rainbow Feathers and Silver Feathers are needed to craft the Clear Bell and Tidal Bell for summoning Ho-Oh and Lugia.61616262Smoothies63636464Smoothies arrived on August 5, 2026 with Bubbly Basin, the first Expansion Pass part.
