Revision 1

The Old Archer is a quest giver at the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley in Phantom Blade Zero. His Tale, Purge the Sect, sends Soul to deal with his corrupted disciples at the Ruthless Archer Camp.

Location

Look for him on the roof of the house west of the Outpost Bell. Scratch marks on the wall identify the climbing route. Speak to him before continuing through later story events; he is described as missable, although the exact disappearance trigger is not established here.

Purge the Sect

After accepting the request, clear the disciples at the Ruthless Archer Camp. Defeating the final disciple awards a Blackstone Fragment and Broken-String Bow. Take the bow back to the Old Archer rather than treating it as finished equipment.

Feather Bow reward

The Old Archer repairs the bow and gives Soul the Feather Bow. Its charged shot uses R2 and consumes 1 Remnant Spark. It deals increased damage to enemies at full HP, making the first shot against an untouched target a distinct use case.
