Add the source-backed guide with difficulty-specific saving and recovery limits.
Bells are Phantom Blade Zero's travel and checkpoint locations. Interacting with a Bell lets Soul travel between previously visited Bells, reveal nearby map areas and access progression services.
Return to an activated Bell, interact with it and choose another previously visited Bell on the map. Travel to the one nearest the objective, then finish the route on foot. Activate new Bells during exploration to add useful return points.
A Traversal Talisman provides Bell travel while away from a checkpoint. It is consumed when used, so it is a different resource from traveling through a Bell directly.
The ordinary saving route is to interact with a Bell and use its save option. Bell services also include learning skills, increasing stats, equipment progression and mapping the surroundings. A general Bell-saving instruction should not be treated as a manual-save option on every difficulty.
The stated Sixty-Six Days rules use a save separate from the ordinary difficulties, autosave when a Bell is touched and remove manual saving. They record mistakes irreversibly. The save-and-reload workaround described in some guidance conflicts with those mode-specific rules and is not a verified method of undoing deaths here.
Check Difficulty and Progression for the difference between the ordinary difficulty tiers and Sixty-Six Days.
