The Worheimer Index is a critical measurement system used by the Bureau of Anomaly Control to monitor and respond to anomalous activity throughout the world of Neverness to Everness.

The Worheimer Index measures how much an object or phenomenon deviates from reality. Higher readings indicate greater instability and potential danger from Anomalies.

Applications

The Bureau maintains constant surveillance of the Worheimer Index throughout cities like Hethereau and New Helios. When the index fluctuates strongly in a particular area, response units are dispatched to investigate and contain the Anomaly.

Strong fluctuations often indicate the presence of high-threat Anomalies requiring immediate attention from specialized units like ETD-4.

Operational Use

The Worheimer Index serves as an early warning system for Anomaly emergence. Different thresholds trigger different response levels, from routine CSU deployment for minor fluctuations to full ETD mobilization for major deviations.
