Pink Paws is one of the major civic and economic factions of Hethereau in Neverness to Everness. The faction operates the city's largest financial institution, runs a parallel credit and currency system that interlocks with the broader City Tycoon management layer, and serves as the framing organisation for the recurring Pink Paws Heist multiplayer activity. The Pink Paws name and branding appear across multiple gameplay systems and lend a visual identity to a large slice of the launch content.
This page is the umbrella faction article for the Pink Paws organisation. It indexes the three sub-system articles (Bank, Credit, Heist), maps the faction's role within the city's economic and social structure, and lists the characters and locations associated with the brand.
Article | System Type | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
Location and institution | Hethereau's primary financial institution. Located in the New Herland District. Hosts the recurring weekly Pink Paws Heist, the bank lobby NPC interactions, and the in-world flavour for Pink Paws Credit. | |
Currency / payment system | The faction-tied currency. Used for purchases at certain Pink Paws-branded shops and as a reward type from heist completions and weekly contracts. | |
Mini-game / activity | Weekly cooperative or solo heist activity at Pink Paws Bank HQ. Players have 15 minutes to loot a multi-level bank for currency and valuable items. Caps weekly Fons earnings around 1 million. |
Within Hethereau's lore framing, Pink Paws sits between the everyday civic infrastructure (banks, transit, retail) and the supernatural anomaly response landscape that the Bureau of Anomaly Control oversees. The faction has known criminal contacts and several unanswered questions about its corporate ownership; this ambiguity is the narrative engine that drives the recurring weekly heist activity.
Within the gameplay framing, Pink Paws is the player's primary economic counterparty during the City Tycoon track. Signing up with Pink Paws Bank is the trigger that unlocks the City Tycoon management system, and progressing through the track returns Fons, Pink Paws Credit, and access to higher-tier weekly heists.
Pink Paws Bank is the gateway institution for City Tycoon. The first significant interaction on the track is a sign-up sequence at the bank lobby that unlocks the management menu, the property purchase queue, and the weekly heist availability. Each subsequent City Tycoon level grants additional capabilities at the bank:
City Tycoon Level 10: Unlocks the weekly Pink Paws Heist activity. Players can attempt the heist once per week starting at this level.
City Tycoon Level 18: Unlocks
Higher levels: Progressively unlock higher heist difficulties, larger weekly Fons caps, and access to advanced Pink Paws Credit redemption tiers.
The heist activity uses a 15-minute timer in a multi-level bank vault layout. Players (solo or in a four-player group) descend through floors of increasing reward density and increasing enemy threat. Reaching the deepest extraction point yields the highest payout; extraction at shallow floors caps the run at lower rewards.
Multiplayer heists distribute loot per-player. Items grabbed by another player disappear from the world and cannot be re-collected, so coordinated runs split the team across different rooms to maximise overall yield. Solo heists are slower but capture all the loot for one player.
Weekly Fons earnings from heists cap at approximately 1 million Fons per character once City Tycoon Level 10 is reached. The cap resets on the standard weekly reset schedule.
Pink Paws Credit is a faction-tied secondary currency. Earned in small amounts from completing certain Pink Paws Bank contracts and from rare in-vault drops during heists, it spends primarily at Pink Paws-branded merchants and at certain interior decoration suppliers tied to the faction's aesthetic.
Pink Paws Credit does not convert to Fons or Riftcrystal. It is a closed-loop currency for Pink Paws-branded purchases. Its main use cases are interior decor, character cosmetic accessories with the Pink Paws motif, and unlocking specific Pink Paws-themed home customisation packages.
Several characters carry strong Pink Paws affiliations through their roles or back-story. The Pink Paws Bank lobby is the recurring meeting point for several arc events tied to these characters:
Mr. Giovanni: A senior figure at Pink Paws Bank's annual gala. Mentioned in the lore framing for the Verdant Grace outfit, where he is described as having an unusual fascination with a particular black-and-white animal that shaped the gala's dress design.
Bank lobby NPCs: The Pink Paws Bank lobby has a roster of named NPCs whose interactions support side quests, City Tycoon dialogue, and the heist briefings. Several of these NPCs cross over into the broader Hethereau social systems.
Heist crew contacts: Recurring heist contacts who organise the weekly run and brief the player on each session's modifiers.
Pink Paws maintains several presence points across Hethereau:
Pink Paws Bank HQ: Located in the
Branch offices: Smaller Pink Paws branches scattered across the other districts handle minor banking transactions and credit redemptions but do not host heists.
Themed merchants: Pink Paws-branded shops and decor suppliers that accept Pink Paws Credit. These are clustered around the New Herland District and along the bank's adjacent streets.
Sign up at Pink Paws Bank early. Signing up is the trigger that unlocks City Tycoon. Players who delay this step block themselves from the entire management track.
Push to City Tycoon Level 10 for heist access. The weekly heist is one of the highest Fons-per-hour activities in the game. Reaching Level 10 unlocks it and cracks open a recurring weekly income stream.
Run heists in multiplayer when possible. Coordinated four-player runs typically split rooms across the team and produce more overall loot than four parallel solo runs.
Save Pink Paws Credit for branded packages. The credit currency does not convert. Spending it on small one-off cosmetic items leaves players short of the larger themed packages.
Track heist modifiers between weeks. Each weekly heist run can include rotating modifiers (extended timer, additional vault depth, special enemy spawns). Reading the briefing before entering helps the team plan the route.
