Companion Points
April 29, 2026 at 02:05 PM
Initial version (2026-04-29)
Companion Points feed the Companion System in Neverness to Everness. They accumulate through daily activities while a specific party character is set as the active companion, and they raise the bond level between the player and that companion. Higher Companion levels unlock outfit accessories, additional dialog branches, unique idle animations, and small in-world quality-of-life perks tied to the chosen character's daily routine around Hethereau.
Companion Points are earned per character: setting Esper Zero as the active companion earns Esper Zero's Companion Points specifically, while setting Hotori as the active companion earns hers. Players cannot transfer Companion Points between characters.
Source | Yield | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Per commission | Successful commission submissions grant Companion Points based on commission tier. | |
Co-op content | Multiplier on points | Multi-player runs of Pink Paws Heist or Coldmount Hospital yield bonus Companion Points. |
Time-based ticks | Time spent in shared housing with the active companion ticks Companion Points passively. | |
Per daily commission | Daily commissions from the Bureau and from Eibon's commission board yield Companion Points. | |
Per session | Mini-game sessions including Mahjong, Fishing, and Cooking pay Companion Points when the chosen character is the active companion. | |
Layered milestones | The May 13 to May 27 launch event awards Companion Points and 400 Annulith for full completion. Specifically tied to Esper Zero. |
Companion Points feed the Companion System progression track for the chosen character. Each character has their own Companion level scale, and reaching specific levels unlocks rewards:
Outfit accessories: small cosmetic add-ons tied to the chosen companion (hair accessories, hand-held items, paired accessory animations)
Additional dialog branches: new conversation options during housing visits and city encounters with the chosen character
Unique idle animations: new ambient animations during exploration when the character is the active companion
Quality-of-life perks: small in-world bonuses tied to the chosen character's specialty (faster fishing for cooking-focused companions, discounted prices at certain shops, etc.)
Limited-time events that pay Companion Points (notably Zero's Companion) accelerate progression on a single character within the event window. The points themselves are permanent and roll into the regular Companion System after the event closes; only the milestone Annulith bonus is event-window-locked.
Set your active companion based on which character you most want to invest in. Switching companions splits Companion Point earning between two characters and slows both.
Run Pink Paws Heist in co-op for the Companion Points multiplier. The multi-player bonus is the single biggest swing for hitting Companion level milestones quickly.
Stack Companion Points earning with the daily commission loop. The same anomaly commissions that feed Hunter Level XP also pay Companion Points when the chosen character is set as the active companion.
Time spent in housing with the active companion ticks points passively. Logging in for housing visits during long sessions adds up over a week.
Companion Points are character-specific. Earning Companion Points with one character does not feed any other character's Companion track.
