The Bureau of Anomaly Control (BAC) is the government organization in Neverness to Everness that handles supernatural Anomalies in Hethereau.

Overview

The Bureau is Hethereau's main defense against supernatural threats. They employ Espers in specialized units for different types of operations.

Structure

The Bureau has multiple Containment Units, each handling specific operations or areas.

Containment Unit 2 - Mint works here. Handles active Anomaly containment.

Operations

Containment - Securing and isolating active Anomalies

Nullification - Eliminating Anomalies that can't be contained

Investigation - Researching Anomaly origins and behaviors

Personnel

The Bureau employs Espers across its units. Known members include Mint from Containment Unit 2.

Support staff handle admin work. Combat operations are run by Espers.

Role in Story

The Bureau is central to the story. As the player investigates Anomalies, they frequently work with Bureau personnel and join Bureau operations.

The Bureau's containment safety exams are apparently hard - even Mint admits she can't keep up with conversations about the results.

Additional Information

The Bureau's headquarters features multiple floors and departments. The Reception Hall on the ground floor handles scheduled low-threat anomaly cases. The fifth floor houses the Integrated Anomaly Affairs Department, which processes anomaly certificates and documents.

Key personnel include Nelly, the Secretary General, who welcomes new arrivals and oversees operations. The Bureau monitors the Worheimer Index across different areas to detect and respond to emerging anomalies.

The Bureau enforces strict information protocols, including the Confident Galaxy regulations which prohibit personnel from inquiring about information unrelated to their duties.
