Nakwon: Last Paradise is set in a post-apocalyptic version of Seoul, South Korea. The city is overrun by infected and scattered human survivor groups, with the few remaining shelters clinging on as small enclaves.
The specific map area publicly called out in the closed alpha is the Jongno district in the heart of Seoul. Jongno includes 14 named landmarks, each with its own encounter design, scavenging opportunities, and risks.
MINTROCKET's framing leans into the specificity of the setting. Recognisable Korean landmarks and architecture are the texture of the map, and the design pitch is that players are not scavenging a generic apocalyptic city; they are moving through a wrecked version of a specific, real place.
