11 Suits and claws are the customisation layer in Marvel's Wolverine, and unlike most cosmetic systems this one is wired into progression. Insomniac has said plainly that acquiring more suits grants health upgrades and opens access to new claws, so working through the wardrobe is a way of raising Logan's survivability rather than a purely visual exercise.

The raw materials come from material crates hidden around each area, and you find them by listening: the crates make a noise Logan can pick up with his senses, in the same way that whisky bottles are tracked by scent. The studio has described new claw designs as something you get by unlocking suits and by completing challenges, which puts the optional content in Nightmare Doors on the same reward track. Suits and claws can be mixed and matched, so a claw set is not tied to the suit that unlocked it.

1212 Two behaviours are confirmed beyond the cosmetic layer. Acquiring suits raises Logan's maximum health, and suits repair themselves as he does. That second point was a deliberate decision: head of technology Mike Fitzgerald has said the team did not want players spending the back half of a mission in shredded rags, and senior project director Jess Reiner-Reed has described early builds where the effect felt underpowered before the team settled on a balance. 3737 The Battle Reborn suit design has been shared beyond this game as a promotional tie-in: it was made available free to all players of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls in August 2026.
