11The antagonists confirmed so far are Bolivar Trask, Omega Red, Deathstrike, the Reavers, The Hand, and the Sentinels. Official trailer copy names Trask, Omega Red and Deathstrike together as the forces Logan stands against, and Trask Industries appears on screen as the corporate name behind the hardware. Because the story is original, a villain who exists in the comics is not in this game until the game shows them.22Bolivar Trask44Trask is an anti-mutant billionaire industrialist driven by a fanatical belief in human superiority, and he drives the campaign. He pays the Reavers to abduct mutants, deploys Ability Inhibitors against Team X, builds the Sentinel Prototype, and constructs a fake town for one of his experiments. Official material describes him as an industrialist rather than a scientist, and no doctorate or research role has been confirmed for him.66Trask Industries is the name that appears on screen for his operation. One of the campaign's later sequences involves an aircraft coming down near a Trask Industries facility.88The Reavers1010The Reavers are a guns-for-hire cybernetic militia working for Trask, and they are the enemy Logan meets most often. They carry out the mutant abductions the story is built around, and previews describe their weapons as electrically charged blades. One of the campaign's set pieces turns a Reaver convoy into a rolling battlefield: Logan tears down a highway on a motorcycle, taking out trucks, slashing tyres, and hurling enemies off the road, then leaps between moving vehicles to fight whatever the Reavers throw at him.1313Game director Mike Daly has explained the choice in design terms. The team needed a force that could believably contend with Logan, and the Reavers were a good fit as "extremely hyper-lethal cyborg mercenaries who had the equipment, the armor, the endurance, and the manpower" to face off against Wolverine competently. They also had a natural place in the story, which let the team give them objectives that line up with each mission's plot. The official location guide adds that the Reavers in Telambang are led by Omega Red, covered below.1515EnemyNotesReaver rank and fileCyborg mercenaries fighting in groups.BrutesPowerful heavy variants, fought on and around the trucks during the highway set piece.Shotgun carriersClose-range specialists that punish standing still.Electrified melee carriersFight with charged weapons in close quarters.Trask's soldiersConventional troops guarding Trask's facilities.Hand ninjasRed-hooded, masked, and armed with katanas. Recur through the campaign at more than one scale.1717Attacks that cannot be blocked are telegraphed with a red tinge. The accessibility settings include colour shaders for seven different enemy types, which is the clearest published indication of how many distinct enemy classes ship.1818The environment is part of these fights. Trophy data points at industrial hazards being usable directly against Reavers, including molten metal, alongside a more general option to impale enemies on whatever the arena provides.2121The Hand2323The Hand is a new enemy faction for this game, wearing the trademark red garb. Insomniac has said Logan and The Hand share a history that players uncover as they tear through the story, and has deliberately not revealed what it is.2626Daly's framing of the Hand in the same interview is that they "have expert training in ancient tactics, but also really deadly weapons", and that, like the Reavers, they had a natural place in the story that let the team give them mission objectives aligned with the plot rather than a generic skirmish. The official location guide places them in Japan's Shinjuku, where Logan faces them while uncovering new truths about his past.2828In combat they fight very differently from the Reavers: fluid acrobatics, precise projectiles, and special blades that pierce Wolverine and temporarily stunt his healing. Individual members carry katanas or bows, and a Critical Strike can take that weapon and slam it back into them.3030They also drive one of the campaign's set pieces. The Hand kidnap Walter Langowski, which sets off a rooftop chase across Madripoor.3232They show up earlier than the Japanese material suggested. A hands-on session with the opening Team X mission met Hand ninjas alongside Trask's Reavers, so the faction is present from the start rather than being held back for the Japanese leg. Trophy data separately places an encounter with them in Japan.3434Ability Inhibitors3636Ability Inhibitors are Trask technology rather than an enemy type. They block Wolverine and his teammates from using their abilities, which strips Logan of his healing factor for as long as they are active. Insomniac's framing is that he has to work past the pain and fight without healing, destroying the Inhibitors before it is too late. Previews have also called them mutant-gene inhibitors and described them as creating flashes of vulnerability in otherwise one-sided fights.3838Sentinels4040Sentinels are mutant-hunting machines built by Trask, and they run through the campaign rather than appearing once. Official material for the game names them among the opponents Logan is tested against, and separate hands-on sessions have met them at more than one point in the story. The largest one confirmed so far is the Sentinel Prototype below.4242Insomniac's framing is that Sentinel threats emerge as Logan, Jean Grey and the members of Team X join the fight for mutant survival, and official material shows Logan slashing and tearing at them directly. One later trailer shows him ripping a tendril off a Sentinel and turning it into a weapon, and a Sentinel swinging him around by one in return.4444Sentinel Prototype4646The Sentinel Prototype (Insomniac's own screenshot captions call it the Prototype Sentinel) is a boss built by Trask to detect and destroy mutants. It is an imposingly large mechanical creation mounted to a wall and has no legs, which does not stop it from covering the arena: it ground pounds, fires scorching lasers and missile barrages, punches, and sweeps with forearm slaps.4848The fight is designed around the whole squad. Insomniac describes it as needing the combined abilities of Team X, with Mystique available as a commandable ally, and it ends with Logan bursting through the machine's head. In-game dialogue presents it as an expanded version of a Sentinel encountered during an earlier mission set in Vancouver.5050Omega Red5252Omega Red is confirmed as a villain and is described in official copy as boorish. Logan has a run-in with him during the opening Telambang mission, on the way to freeing Nathaniel Essex. The official character guide fills in who he is: Arkady Rossovich, a mutant whose X-gene has left him with a decaying body, so he drains others to sustain himself. He was violently ejected from Team X, found a place with the Reavers, and has held a grudge against Logan ever since, going as far as working with Bolivar Trask. The guide's description of Telambang names him as the leader of the Reavers Logan faces there.5454Post-launch guides place a boss fight against him at the end of the Telambang leg, in the mission Last Meal. No official surface describes that fight and this page does not reproduce walkthrough detail. See Bosses and Missions.5656Deathstrike5858Deathstrike has been described by Insomniac as one of the game's big antagonists and appears in a cinematic trailer. That is the extent of what has been confirmed: no role and no abilities have been published on an official surface, and the character is uncast in public material. Post-launch trophy guides do list a boss fight against her; the Bosses page records where one of them places it.6161The name appears in two forms. Insomniac uses Deathstrike, while some licensor material uses Lady Deathstrike. This wiki follows the developer's wording and treats the longer form as a variant.6363Trailer footage adds one detail to that: she fights Logan with a katana. As of September 21, 2026, re-checked against the product page and its FAQ, the official character guide, the studio's own posts, the studio's support pages and the descriptions of every released trailer including the Launch Trailer, her performer has not been announced on any official surface. A name circulating elsewhere belongs to a different character in this game and is not carried here. See Cast and Crew.6565Fighting bosses6767Stealth does not work against bosses. Boss encounters are open fights from the start, and a separate accessibility toggle controls whether the boss health bar is displayed. See Combat and Accessibility Options.
