Initial version (2026-08-06): walkthrough for The City of Progress quest in Speranova City
The City of Progress is a main quest in LumenTale: Memories of Trey set in Speranova City, the final city on the northern Logos route. It runs through Pepper's four tests, which unlock Data infusion for the Holoken, an expedition into Glacial Peak with squadron leader Darda, the Arct-Rex and Kentaress boss fights, and the Speranova Squadron match. Sign up at the Lumen Club near the entrance, then visit Zero the Luminary at the Celestial Cathedral in the north of the city, where you have to beat the Lumen accompanying him. Afterward, meet Pepper in the barracks on the second floor for four tests, done in any order: a battle with a researcher that unlocks Data infusion for your Holoken, a virtual arena fight, a crafting test that asks for a Bilia+, a Cotolino, and a Potion+, and a repair test that needs 20 Glass, 20 Metal, 10 Quartz, and 1 Anivite EX. With the cathedral sealed, your next task is to find squadron leader Darda at Glacial Peak, entered from the western part of Area 25. Inside, a chain of teleporters leads to Darda and a Data puzzle: strike the mechanisms with a Data Animon to redirect a laser and open the elevator. Deeper in, operate two generators to open the door ahead, then fight an Arct-Rex boss. See the Glacial Peak Cave Teleporter Solution for the full teleporter routes.
Back in Speranova, the teleporter to the Luminary's chambers is dead. Reactivate three terminals inside the cathedral, in any order. Each terminal sits behind a laser-redirection puzzle solved with Data power, with Lumen guards along the way. Once all three are live, take the central teleporter to where Zero is held.
Zero is held captive by Kines and her Animon; defeat her to rescue him. Zero then transforms into the Animon Kentaress and goes on a rampage, and you must pacify it in a boss fight. Kentaress has two phases, entering the second at 50% HP or lower, and its Upgrade quirk changes its weaknesses every time it takes a super-effective hit, so bring a team with attacks of several different types rather than leaning on one counter.
Sleep at the Lumen Club, then head to the arena on the second floor near the barracks. You fight three Lumen representing the Speranova Squadron, then defeat their leader Darda in one last battle. A final talk with Zero at the cathedral closes out the quest.
