Reaching the highest research level reveals stats, the Hidden Type, and the evolution chart, but it costs battle turns and usually requires a capture to fully finish the entry.

2020 An index entry is marked complete once it has a star on it. Scanning alone is not enough to earn the star, so it is recommended to also capture the Animon. 2424 The scan animation differs between a new Animon and one already indexed, though the difference is subtle. The scan circle is orange when scanning a new Animon, and it turns blue with stars once the Animon has already been scanned and captured.
