Boss guide for the two-form Dualine fight in The Great Tree Town, covering its level 20, Grass typing, the second form's healing and area attacks, recommended counters, and the Baza confrontation that triggers it.
Dualine is a rare Grass Type Animon and the boss you face at the end of the The Great Tree Town main quest, on the southern Mythos route. The fight takes place on the top floor of Baza's Palace in Mirasilva, where the High Priest Baza sends his Dualine to challenge Trey. Dualine fights in two phases: a weaker first form, and after you defeat it, a much stronger second form.

In the wild, Dualine is also mentioned near Darkwood Forest. As an Animon it does not evolve, and its two forms carry different attributes: the first form uses the Felicis Attribute (healing allies after attacking), while the second form uses the Horrens Attribute (neutralizing enemy resistances on a finishing blow). Both forms are Level 20, and the second form hits hard. Bring a team at or above that level and assign Stat Points into HP and Defence so you can survive Shards Rain hitting everyone at once. See How to Increase Stats.
Dualine is weak to Chakra Type, Ice Type, and Fire Type attacks. Lead with Animon that carry those moves to break through quickly, especially in the second phase where the boss can heal itself.
The second form uses Aromasynthesis to restore its own HP, so a slow team can stall out. Focus heavy damage in the second phase and keep up the pressure with super effective hits so its healing cannot keep pace.
Shards Rain is a Geo Type move that can strike all of your Animon at once. Keep your team healthy between turns, and consider a support such as Florenco or Cadedro to keep the party topped up while your attackers focus the boss down.
The Dualine fight is tied to the climax of the quest, where Trey can confront Baza over his lies to the people of Mirasilva. The dialogue choice here does not change that the boss fight happens, but it does change the story outcome.
