LEGO Skylines does not have a release date. The publisher's answer to the question is that one has not been announced yet, and the PC store listing simply reads "Coming soon". Nothing narrower than that has been given: no year, no window, no season.
Platforms
Four platforms are confirmed. Paradox Interactive lists them in two separate places on the game's own pages, once as a direct answer to a question about platforms and once as a row of wishlist destinations, and the two lists agree with each other.
Platform | Status |
|---|---|
PC | Confirmed. Listed for Windows, and currently the only platform with a live store listing carrying full details. |
PlayStation 5 | Confirmed. Listed as a wishlist destination. |
Xbox Series X|S | Confirmed. Listed as a wishlist destination. |
Nintendo Switch 2 | Confirmed. Listed as a wishlist destination. |
One point is worth clearing up, because it caused confusion after the reveal. The 25 August announcement post named no platforms at all, and the PC store listing only ever describes its own build, so for a period the game looked like a PC exclusive. It is not. The console confirmations come from the publisher directly.
What has not been confirmed is anything platform-specific: performance targets, resolutions, feature parity between versions, whether saves transfer between platforms, and whether creations can be shared across them. It has also not been stated whether all four versions launch on the same day.
Ratings
The game is rated PEGI 3 and ESRB E for Everyone. The PEGI 3 mark also appears on the opening card of the announcement trailer. Paradox Interactive describes the game as made with adult players in mind while remaining easy for anyone to pick up, including someone playing alongside a younger family member.
Languages
Eleven languages are listed. English is the only one marked for full audio support; the rest are text. Published language lists have varied slightly between official surfaces, with one shorter list omitting Russian, so the set below should be read as the fuller of the two rather than as final.
Language | Support |
|---|---|
English | Interface, subtitles and full audio |
French | Interface and subtitles |
German | Interface and subtitles |
Spanish (Spain) | Interface and subtitles |
Spanish (Latin America) | Interface and subtitles |
Japanese | Interface and subtitles |
Korean | Interface and subtitles |
Polish | Interface and subtitles |
Russian | Interface and subtitles. Absent from one of the two published lists |
Simplified Chinese | Interface and subtitles |
Traditional Chinese | Interface and subtitles |
Price, Pre-Orders and Editions
None of these have been announced. There is no price, pre-orders are not open, and no editions or pre-order bonuses have been described. The publisher has said it will share pricing detail closer to release and will announce when pre-orders open. Wishlisting is currently the only action available on any storefront.
Post-Launch Plans
Downloadable content is planned. The stated intention is to keep building the game after launch with both paid and free content, with more detail promised closer to release. No specific expansion, pack or update has been described, and no post-launch schedule exists.
System Requirements
Not published yet. The store listing currently gives both minimum and recommended requirements as a 64-bit processor and operating system, with the operating system itself listed as to be decided. The publisher has said recommended requirements are coming.
Not Yet Confirmed
Beyond the date itself, there is no launch window of any kind, no announced demo, beta or playtest, and no statement about whether the game needs an internet connection. It is listed as single-player only, which points strongly towards an offline game, but that has never been said outright. The gamescom appearance was a booth photo opportunity and a prize wheel rather than a publicly confirmed playable build.
