Vice City International Airport is the main airport serving Vice City and the wider Leonida region in Grand Theft Auto VI. Highway signage shown in the game's first two trailers lists the airport by name alongside the three-letter code VCI. The facility sits on the mainland side of the metropolitan area in Vice-Dale County, close to the city center, with the road signs in trailer footage pointing to direct highway access.
The airport made its first appearance in the debut trailer, where its radar installation and control towers are visible in the background behind the Vice City welcome sign. Highway signs in both trailers reference the airport as a destination, which is how its name and VCI code became known. Trailer 2 opens with Jason driving past road signs for Ambrosia, Downtown, VCI Airport and Southside.
An official screenshot released for the game shows a private jet on approach over the airport, confirming that flight activity is part of the surrounding scenery. Rockstar has not described the airport in any written material so far, so its terminals, runways, interior spaces, and any gameplay role remain unconfirmed.
Community analysis of trailer footage widely identifies Miami International Airport as the model for the facility. The naming pattern, the airport's position relative to the city, and the design of its control towers all line up with the real-world hub. Rockstar has not commented on the comparison, so the parallel remains an observation rather than confirmed canon, similar to how Hamlet evokes the real city of Homestead.
