Final Fantasy VII Revelation brings the Remake trilogy to its climax. As the story opens, Cloud Strife and his loyal companions face a world that teeters on the brink of annihilation. They are grieving a beloved ally, and their nemesis Sephiroth is nearing godhood.
With time running out, the party takes to the skies aboard the airship Highwind in a race to stop Meteor, the ultimate destructive magic, before it brings about the total obliteration of the planet. Officials frame Revelation as the breathtaking finale to the project and the culmination of three decades of Final Fantasy VII storytelling.
A Planet in Peril
As Meteor descends, enormous Weapons awaken and unleash terror across the world. The planet's conflicts are many, and the party must divide and conquer, choosing where to go, who to help, and in what order as the planet itself fights for survival. Decisions made along the journey can shape aspects of the characters' individual stories.
Themes
Director Naoki Hamaguchi has described the title as a story centered on resolve, with Cloud and his companions confronting their convictions as they journey toward a final battle that will determine the fate of the planet. The game is positioned as the point where the many threads of the Final Fantasy VII story converge.
A Note on Spoilers
Official material describes the lost companion only as a beloved ally and does not name them. This wiki follows that framing and avoids spoiling the identity or fate of characters beyond what has been officially shown. For the cast, see Playable Characters.
