11 Final Fantasy VII Revelation is developed and published by Square Enix as the third and final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake series. It was announced on June 5, 2026, and is slated for a simultaneous worldwide launch in Spring 2027. Development is handled internally by Square Enix’s Creative Studio I, the team behind the earlier Remake entries.

It releases in Spring 2027, during the 30th anniversary year of the original 1997 game. It is the first mainline Final Fantasy to arrive on Xbox at launch since Final Fantasy XV, and the first to launch on a Nintendo console since Final Fantasy VI.

The shift to launching on several platforms at once was handled by splitting the studio into smaller groups assigned to optimize each version, with the team aiming for gameplay and presentation parity across all of them.

The director credited that pace to keeping most of the core team from the earlier entries together rather than breaking it up between projects, which let their experience and tools carry over instead of being rebuilt for each game.

The director explained that they received many requests for add-on content for the previous entry, but chose to focus all of the studio's development resources on finishing the main game and releasing it as soon as possible. He added that the team would actively consider post-launch downloadable content if there is strong demand from players after release. No such content has been announced.
