Added the official pixel-art Vision sprite of Lightning (Images 2026-10-11)
11Lightning is one of the legacy Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance. Square Enix named her on August 19, 2026 and printed her profile in official press material dated August 24. The realm it names, Cocoon, pointed at FINAL FANTASY XIII, and the official Japanese character page has since printed the pairing outright: its sixteen-slot sprite gallery captions her sprite FINAL FANTASY XIII.223+34Profile4556Square Enix introduces her as a member of Cocoon's Guardian Corps. No further background has been published for her here.6778Combat Profile89910As a Vision she excels at staggering enemies, and she gains abilities that further strengthen that power. Her published kit names no elements and no support effects, only the stagger loop and the fact that she compounds it. Staggering every enemy in one turn is the trigger for a Resonance Attack, so a Vision specialized in that work carries value beyond her own damage. The wider battle design is covered at Combat.10111112Two published routes add abilities to a Vision: bond strength, which unlocks more of a Vision's abilities the longer you fight with the crystal equipped, and Vision Awakening, which spends magicite to raise a Vision across three stages. As of 11 October 2026 Square Enix has not said which of the two delivers her stagger-boosting abilities.12131314DetailValueSeries entryFINAL FANTASY XIIIHome realm namedCocoonAffiliationGuardian CorpsElementsNot published as of 11 October 2026Battle specialtyStaggering enemies, feeding the Stagger System loopGrowthGains abilities that further strengthen her staggeringCrystal sourceSanctums of Light erected around the world1415How to Obtain15161617Vision crystals are obtained by visiting the Sanctums of Light erected around the world, and every Vision is earnable in-game with no DLC.
