His inclusion was confirmed well before his kit was: Japanese storefront copy listed him on the roster alongside Cloud and Terra, but no description of what he does appeared until official press material dated August 24, 2026. The realm named in that material, Rosaria, identifies him as this game's FINAL FANTASY XVI representative.

Doing both jobs at once matters, because staggering every enemy in one turn is the condition for a Resonance Attack: a Vision that breaks the line and hits hard shortens the route to it.
