Re-anchored the weak-point description on the demo rather than on a design statement
11The Lantern Keeper is a mini-boss confirmed in the first playable demo Playground Games gave to press and creators at gamescom 2026, encountered late in a quest called Mud and Death inside a haunted mine in Albion.2233Behaviour4455It is large and slow, but it flies, which keeps it out of reach of a ground-bound approach for long stretches. It carries a substantial health bar, so it is not a fight that ends quickly.6677TraitDetailMovementLarge and slow, but able to flyRanged attackAn unblockable fire breath, so blocking is not an answer to itProjectilesExplosive projectiles alongside the fire breathReinforcementsActively spawns Wraiths during the fightWeak pointIts lantern88The Lantern9910-The lantern the creature is named for is its weak point, and it is the clearest example so far of the studio's stated design that each enemy type has weak points that cause specific reactions when hit. In the demo, ranged weapons hit the lantern more effectively than spells did, which is what made the ranged pillar worth carrying into the fight at all.10+The lantern the creature is named for is its weak point, and it is the clearest example so far of weak spots producing a specific reaction when struck. The Lantern Keeper spawns Wraiths, and Wraiths in turn raise more Hollow Folk, so a player who spends the whole fight on the boss can find the room filling up behind them. Managing the adds and the weak point at once is the shape of the encounter.13131414What Is Not Known15151616Whether the Lantern Keeper is unique to that mine or appears elsewhere, whether it has a place in the story, and whether it is one of the brand-new creatures rather than a returning one, have not been stated. See Enemies and Creatures for the confirmed roster and Combat System Overview for how boss encounters fit the wider combat design.
