The Estate is the player's own customizable space within Emberville, separate from the town rebuild and from the dungeon. Store copy describes it as the place to craft anything needed for the journey through the Vitromotus and to turn a homestead into a comfortable place to relax, covering buildings, furniture, plants and decorations. The studio has called it the player's personal off ramp from combat.
What It Holds
Element | Detail |
|---|---|
Buildings and objects | Houses, buildings and objects that the player places where they want them. |
Crafting | All of the player's life skill tools live on the Estate, and the space is used to craft items and improve skills. |
Crops | Farming is done here, with planting, watering and harvesting implemented and animated. |
Decoration | Furniture, plants and decorations, with carpentry supplying the furniture and the advanced materials involved. |
Somewhere to stop | The studio describes it plainly as a chill spot as well as a workshop. |
Building It
Building and destruction have both been working since mid 2025, which is what makes placement rather than selection the point of the space. The pieces are drawn as individual pixel art assets and assembled, with animation layered on afterwards, such as lanterns and vines moving in the wind. Base building is on the list of content present when Early Access opens on 27 October 2026.
The more advanced version of the space is explicitly held back. Advanced creative area implementation appears in the studio's goals for version 1.0 rather than in the Early Access content list, so the Estate is expected to grow through Early Access rather than arrive finished. See Early Access.
The Estate and the Town
The Estate is the player's own plot; the wider settlement is a separate system with its own rules, driven by rescuing villagers and restoring their buildings. The two share materials, since carpentry supplies both furniture for the Estate and the advanced materials the town rebuild consumes. The town side is covered on Rebuilding Emberville.
Hands on coverage of a pre release build described claiming a private estate after the escape and using it to farm food, prepare recipes and build a smithy for crafting and honing weapons. That account covers an unreleased build and is a single source, so it is recorded as an early look rather than as confirmed content.
Former Name
The space was called the Creative Area in the 2025 devlogs and in the studio's January 2026 fact sheet. Studio material from March 2026 onward calls it the Estate, and the July 2026 feature list uses player estate and personal estate. Creative Area still appears in older material, including in the wording of the version 1.0 goal above, and refers to the same place.
