Revision 1

Forward operating bases, abbreviated FOBs, are fighting positions and ammunition resupply points in Defilade's announced prerelease design. Troops can fight from an FOB and return to it for ammunition.

Capacity and defeat

Completing another FOB raises the unit cap. Losing the final FOB ends the game. The developer has not published the numerical capacity increase for each base.

Capture

Any FOB can be captured by forces that enter it and hold it. The opposing AI uses the same rules and attacks the player's FOBs. No capture timer or required force size has been specified.

Construction and supply

FOBs belong to the Base Building system. Each completed FOB creates its own road back to friendly lines, and supply trucks travel along that road. Supply pays for units and buildings; interruptions can cut off bases farther along the route. See Supply Lines for the announced transport rules.
