Captain Cyrus is a Captain of the Blood Ravens and one of the named Space Marines leaders in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. He leads the Chapter in the campaign alongside Chief Librarian Jonah Orion.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV has not released yet. Everything on this page reflects information published before launch and may change.
On the Battlefield
Official pre-release screenshots show Cyrus selected as a Commander, with a summary panel and an experience bar. The three lines on that panel are the clearest published statement of how he is meant to be used.
Panel Line | What It Indicates |
|---|---|
Excels at range | A shooting Commander rather than a melee one |
Effective against single targets | Built to remove specific high-value units rather than clear crowds |
Stealth increases durability | Staying unseen is tied directly to how much punishment he can take |
The stealth line lines up with how pre-release coverage has described the Blood Ravens more generally, as a force leaning toward tactical finesse with some stealth in smaller engagements. Both are pre-launch descriptions rather than documented rules, so the mechanics behind them are not detailed here. The experience bar on the same panel reflects the game-wide Unit Veterancy system.
The same screenshot also shows a Reserve readout, which belongs to the Space Marine Reserves and Thunderhawk Relay tools rather than to Cyrus himself.
In the Story
The Blood Ravens travel to Planet Kronus to rebuild their Chapter and uncover a threat to the wider sub-sector. Cyrus is one of the two figures who lead them through that arc. See Campaign for the structure of the faction campaigns and Story and Setting for the events themselves.
