Complete quest article with full walkthrough, details, and tips
Whispers in the Wind is a main quest in Crimson Desert and the seventh mission of Chapter 11: Truth and Reality, part of the Foreboding Shadow sub-chapter. Returning from the forgotten land, Kliff receives word that strange occurrences have been reported across Delesyia. Winds carry fragments of whispered voices, and the sky has taken on an unnatural hue. The Abyss is becoming increasingly unstable, and time is running out. This quest culminates in Kliff bonding with the dragon Blackstar, one of the most powerful mounts in the game.

Complete a test flight on Blackstar
Follow the quest markers to investigate several Abyss disturbances around Delesyia. These are brief interaction points with atmospheric effects. The trail leads to a mountain peak where Blackstar, the dragon Kliff encountered earlier in the story, awaits.
A major cutscene plays where Kliff and Blackstar bond. The bonding scene is automatic and cannot fail. This is a purely narrative moment that does not require player input beyond watching. After the cutscene, you take Blackstar for a test flight above Delesyia. The flight tutorial teaches basic dragon controls: ascending, descending, fire breath (R2), fireballs (R1), barrel roll dodge (Circle/B), and landing.

Practice the dragon controls during the test flight. You will need to use them extensively in the very next quest (Cloud Castle Orbian).
Blackstar has a 50-minute real-time cooldown after each use. Plan your dragon usage carefully in future encounters.
The dragon's fire breath is more powerful than individual fireballs but consumes stamina faster.
