Twilight Grotto is a hidden waterfall cave in the Hernand region of Crimson Desert. Like other secret waterfall caves scattered across Pywel, its entrance is concealed behind a curtain of falling water and marked by a small stone cairn at the base of the waterfall. The grotto's interior is dimly lit, with faint shafts of light filtering through cracks in the ceiling, giving the space a twilight quality that lends it its name.
Inside Twilight Grotto, a treasure chest contains the Scorch Flame Plate Gloves, a powerful pair of plate gauntlets that combine strong offensive stats with a unique Abyss Core effect.

The Volcanic Eruption Abyss Core is what makes these gloves stand out. When equipped, flame and abyss element skills cause meteors to erupt from the ground at the point of impact, dealing additional area damage. This synergizes especially well with fire-element builds and skills that already have large hit zones. The +0.1 Spirit per second regeneration also helps sustain skill usage in prolonged fights.
Look for the stone cairn outside the waterfall entrance in the Hernand region. Position Kliff directly in front of the waterfall and use the Stab technique (RB + Y on controller, or Shift + Right Click on mouse and keyboard) to push through the water. Once inside, the treasure chest containing the Scorch Flame Plate Gloves is visible at the back of the cave.
Throughout Pywel, many waterfalls conceal hidden caves behind their curtain of water. These secret locations are known as Waterside Caves. Players can discover them by completing large environmental puzzles, which reward a key item that reveals the locations of hidden places, usually waterfall caves around the map. A small stone cairn placed near the base of a waterfall is the telltale sign that a cave exists behind it.
To enter a waterfall cave, use the Stab technique (RB + Y on controller, or Shift + Right Click on mouse and keyboard) while facing the waterfall. Walking directly into the waterfall without using Stab will knock Kliff backward and deal damage. Once inside, loot the treasure chest to collect the cave's unique equipment reward.
Stone cairns near waterfalls always indicate a hidden cave entrance. Train yourself to scan for them whenever you see a waterfall in the distance.
The Volcanic Eruption Abyss Core on these gloves pairs well with Flame element skills and Abyss element builds.
The +0.1 Spirit per second passive regen can reduce downtime between skill casts during boss fights.
Waterside Cave loot does not respawn. Each cave can only be looted once per playthrough.
