The Gate of War is a main quest in Crimson Desert and the second mission of Chapter 10: Counterattack, falling under the Secret Weapon sub-chapter. The journey to Delesyia passes through contested territory where enemy forces have established checkpoints and patrols. Kliff and his team must fight through these obstacles to reach the Gorthak Ironworks.

Navigate through the contested border zone

The border zone is a linear path with three enemy checkpoints. Each checkpoint has a group of soldiers and fortifications. You can approach stealthily to thin the numbers or engage directly. The checkpoints increase in difficulty from north to south.
The final checkpoint at the Delesyia gate is guarded by a checkpoint commander, a mini-boss with heavy armor and a war hammer. He has a predictable three-hit combo followed by a ground slam. Dodge the slam, then counterattack during the recovery window. Once he falls, the gate opens and a fast travel point activates.
Stealth takedowns at the first two checkpoints save health and resources for the commander fight.
The checkpoint commander is vulnerable to Force Palm after his ground slam. Time it for easy stagger damage.
Archers on the checkpoint walls can be picked off with a bow before engaging melee enemies.
