Overview

Striped Marlin is an expert-level game fish in Crimson Desert. Described as a powerful game fish beloved by fishing enthusiasts, the Striped Marlin is recognized by its sharp, pointed snout and puts up a fierce fight when hooked. It is one of the more challenging fish to catch in the game, requiring skill and patience with the fishing minigame.

Large saltwater catches like the Striped Marlin are among the most valuable fish in Pywel, commanding high prices at vendor shops.

How to Catch

Striped Marlin is found in coastal saltwater areas. Use a Fishing Rod and cast into deep water near the coast. As an expert-level fish, the Striped Marlin fights aggressively when hooked. Be prepared for extended back-and-forth during the reeling phase: pull the rod opposite to the fish's swimming direction to tire it out, and only reel in when the water calms. Attempting to reel while the fish is still thrashing will snap the line.

A higher-quality Fishing Rod (such as the Fine Fishing Rod from the back alley shop south of the House of Healing) helps manage the tension during the fight.

Uses

• Can be cleaned to yield Fish Fillet for cooking recipes

• Sells for a high price at vendor shops, making it one of the more profitable fish to catch

• Registered in the Knowledge menu under Creatures > Aquatic Creatures
