Save System

Open the game menu by clicking the icon on the far right of the top bar, or press ESC. Two save options appear:
Save: Overwrites the current save file.
Save As: Creates a new save file with a custom name while keeping the existing one.
Each save file represents an entire city (the whole world), not just a single household. Starting a new save creates a new city.
Autosave is on by default. Configure it in ESC > Options > Gameplay > Save. The default interval is 15 minutes. Available intervals are 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes. The system uses three rolling autosave slots, cycling through them at each interval. This means you can load a save from further back than just the most recent autosave.
Players can maintain as many save files as they want using Save As. This is useful for preserving specific moments (a wedding, a milestone, etc.) or experimenting without overwriting progress.
