The Rock Tusk Warthog is a temporary ground mount in Crimson Desert. Distinguished by its hardened, rock-like tusks, this warthog variant is tougher than the standard Black-maned Boar while remaining easier to find than the rare Boar Boss. Its 450 HP provides a reasonable health pool for short combat engagements.
Rock Tusk Warthogs are wild creatures that roam rocky and arid terrain. Their stone-like tusks make their charge attacks particularly dangerous, dealing solid impact damage to anything in their path. As a temporary mount, the Rock Tusk Warthog offers a middle-ground option between the fragile standard boar and the powerful Boar Boss.

The Rock Tusk Warthog has the same HP as the Small Black-Maned Boar (450) but lower defense (25 vs. 25). Its attack is a solid 100, matching most boar variants except the Boar Boss.
Rock Tusk Warthogs are subdued through combat, following the standard process for wild animal mounts:
Locate a Rock Tusk Warthog in rocky terrain, arid grasslands, or scrublands across Pywel.
Attack the warthog with melee or ranged weapons until it collapses from exhaustion.
Once the warthog is downed, a ride prompt will appear.
Press the ride button quickly to mount the warthog before it recovers.

While riding a Rock Tusk Warthog, players gain access to the following abilities:

The Rock Tusk Warthog sits in the mid-tier of boar mounts alongside the Small Black-Maned Boar (both at 450 HP). The standard Black-maned Boar is weaker at 230 HP. The Black-Maned Boar Boss is far superior at 1,035 HP with 195 attack and 100 defense.
Rock Tusk Warthogs are more common in arid and rocky areas. Look for them away from dense forests where bears tend to spawn instead.
Their charge attack is particularly effective for knocking enemies off ledges or into environmental hazards.
With 450 HP, the warthog lasts longer than a standard boar but still should not be used for prolonged siege-style combat.
