Overview

Path to Enlightenment is a quest in the Six Pensive Statues and the Evil Spirit sub-chapter of Chapter 9: The Sage of the Desert. With the pensive statues restored, the path to deeper spiritual understanding opens. The Chief Monk directs Kliff to three trial locations spread across the Serpent Marsh. Each trial tests a different aspect of a warrior's character: discipline, raw power, and understanding.

3. Begin the first trial to unlock the subsequent trial quests

Walkthrough

After completing the statue repairs, the Chief Monk explains the spiritual framework behind the three trials. Each trial is located at a different site in the Serpent Marsh. The first trial, the Trial of Discipline, is the closest to Jijeong Temple and involves stealth and restraint. The second trial (Path of the Disciple) tests raw combat strength. The third trial (True Strength) tests understanding and culminates in a boss fight.

The quest itself is primarily a travel and dialogue sequence. Follow the quest markers to reach the first trial location. There is no combat during this transition quest. Once you arrive and enter the trial area, the next quest begins automatically.

Tips

• Take this opportunity to fast travel back to a camp and restock on supplies. The upcoming trials include challenging combat encounters.

• The three trials can be attempted in any order after this quest unlocks them, though the recommended sequence is discipline, then strength, then understanding.
