His work involves environmental puzzles in the Institute's underground areas, including inserting batteries into pillars and extracting an unstable core. These experiments culminate in the summoning of Tenebrum, a spectral entity from the Abyss. Kliff must fight Tenebrum in an aerial boss battle above the Scholastone Institute. Following this confrontation, Octavius disappears.
