Myurdin is the fearsome leader of the Drunken Black Bears, the rival mercenary faction that serves as the primary antagonist group in Crimson Desert. His devastating ambush on the Greymanes sets the entire story in motion.

The Ambush

In a brutal nighttime assault, Myurdin led the Black Bears against the Greymanes, catching them in a deadly trap. The Greymanes fell one by one in their clash against the Black Bears. In a desperate struggle against Myurdin, Kliff was resoundingly beaten before he and the few surviving Greymanes were scattered to the winds.

This tragedy becomes the catalyst for the entire game. Kliff's quest for vengeance against Myurdin drives the narrative forward as he works to rebuild the Greymanes and confront the Black Bears' leader.

Role in the Story

The game's structure involves reuniting the scattered Greymanes while building toward a confrontation with Myurdin. Though the path there intersects with larger continental mysteries involving the Abyss and the Library of Providence, Myurdin remains a central antagonist.

His alliance with Cassius Morten in the Calphade rebellion demonstrates the Black Bears' far-reaching influence across Pywel.
