Initial version with acquisition methods and stealing mechanics
The Mask is a key item in Crimson Desert that allows Kliff to engage in criminal behavior. Equipping a Mask enables stealing items from shops, pickpocketing NPCs, and committing other offenses throughout Hernand and the wider world. Without a Mask equipped, criminal actions are unavailable.

"Allows criminal behavior."
There are three ways to obtain a Mask in Crimson Desert:
The earliest guaranteed method is completing the Bounty Notice: Jeffrey quest in Chapter 2. Pick up the bounty notice from a lamp post in Hernand, then locate Jeffrey (a pickpocket wearing sleeveless clothing and a hood) in the east district. Tackle and defeat him, carry him back to the Hernand Guard Captain west of Hernand Castle, and receive the Mask as a reward.
Bleed Bandits in the Hernand region occasionally drop Masks when defeated. This method is not guaranteed but provides an alternative source for players who missed the bounty quest.
A Black Market street vendor in Hernand Village sells Masks. This is the simplest method if you have copper to spare.
With a Mask equipped, approach any shop or NPC to see steal prompts. Successfully stealing an item adds it to your inventory. However, getting caught results in a bounty on Kliff and may attract guards. The Mask occupies a separate equipment slot from helmets, so players can wear both a Mask and a helmet simultaneously for full protection during criminal activities.
Complete the Jeffrey bounty early in Chapter 2 to unlock stealing for the rest of the game.
Wearing the Mask in public draws suspicion from bystanders. Be aware of your surroundings.
The Mask and helmet use different equipment slots, so wearing a Mask does not reduce your armor protection.
Stolen items can be sold for profit at certain vendors.
