Overview

The Lifsoth Large Shield is a large shield in Crimson Desert that provides DEF 8, making it one of the highest-defense shields available.

It grants a strong amount of base protection but does not provide any speed bonuses. The shield is found at the Witch's House in the Hernand region and is widely recommended as one of the best early shield upgrades in the game.

The Lifsoth Large Shield is found at the Witch's House in the Hernand region. To reach it, enter the Witch's House and go to the second floor, then access it through the balcony door. The shield cannot be purchased from merchants or crafted at a Blacksmith. It is a one-time pickup from this specific location.

Core Slots

The 2 core slots allow customization with Abyss Cores to tailor the shield's bonuses to specific combat situations or builds. Players might consider slotting defensive cores for additional survivability or utility cores that complement the shield's strengths. Cores can be embedded or removed through a witch NPC at no cost, making experimentation easy.

With DEF 8 at base and no speed modifiers, the Lifsoth Large Shield is built entirely around damage absorption. Its high defense makes it one of the strongest shields for sustained blocking, and refinement at a Blacksmith pushes this even higher. Players who invest in fully refining this shield can achieve defense values well beyond most other shields in the game. The two core slots allow for Abyss Core customization to add effects like reduced stamina consumption or elemental resistance. The trade-off is the lack of any attack speed or movement speed bonus, which means players using this shield sacrifice mobility for raw survivability.
