Overview

Forbidden Gate is a main quest in Chapter 12: The Abyss of Crimson Desert. It marks the transition between The Final Battle arc and The Void arc. Kliff and his remaining allies breach a sealed gateway that leads into the deepest layer of the Abyss. This gate has been sealed for centuries, and opening it unleashes the darkness that has been building throughout the story.

Walkthrough

The approach to the Forbidden Gate is linear but filled with environmental hazards. Use Axiom Force to manipulate the gate's locking mechanisms, similar to other Abyss puzzles encountered earlier in the game but with added complexity. The puzzle involves activating multiple totems in the correct sequence.

Once the gate begins to open, a wave of Abyss-corrupted enemies pours through. Hold your ground and defeat them before passing through into the unknown darkness of the Void. Use crowd-control abilities and area-of-effect attacks to manage the swarm.

There is an Abyss Nexus fast travel point nearby. Activate it and consider saving here, as this is the last safe point before the Void sequence.

Tips

• This is the last safe point before the Void. Make sure you have stocked up on all necessary supplies.

• The Axiom Force puzzle follows the same principles as earlier totem puzzles but has more steps.

• Enemies that emerge from the gate hit very hard. Prioritize crowd-control abilities.

• Save at the Abyss Nexus before entering the gate.
