Electro-Mecha Longsword

Major expansion: added boss location at Marni's Outpost, lightning affinity details, comparison to Kuku spears, combat limitations
The Electro-Mecha Longsword is a two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert with innate Lightning Affinity. It is a greatsword obtained by defeating a challenging multi-phase boss encounter at Marni's Outpost in Delesyia. Unlike the Kuku reinforced weapons, this sword does not break in its default state and can be used immediately after obtaining it.
While the lightning affinity gives it an edge against robotic enemies, it has notable limitations compared to the reinforced Kuku spears. Only three of its attack animations are imbued with electric damage, compared to all ten on the Kuku Lightning Spear. It also cannot be refined or infused, making it static in power level once obtained.

|---|---|

Travel to Marni's Outpost in Delesyia. The outpost is located in the eastern part of the region. When you arrive, a multi-phase boss encounter with the Machina Knight triggers automatically. This fight consists of several phases and is considered a challenging encounter for most players.
Defeating the Machina Knight drops the Electro-Mecha Longsword. Unlike the Kuku spear base weapons, this greatsword is fully functional from the moment you pick it up and will not break with use.
The Electro-Mecha Longsword deals solid base damage at 27 Attack Power, matching the damage tier of other late-game two-handed weapons. However, its main drawback is that only three of its attack animations carry the lightning affinity. This means there is downtime between electric hits where the sword deals purely physical damage with no elemental bonus.
By comparison, the Kuku Lightning Spear applies electricity on every single attack (10 imbued hits), providing much more consistent stun buildup and electric damage. The longsword's inability to be refined or infused also means its power level plateaus, while Kuku spears can be further improved.
That said, the Electro-Mecha Longsword has one clear advantage: it never needs reinforcement and does not require any crafting investment. Players who have not yet unlocked the Kuku crafting system or the required sanctums can use this weapon as a reliable electric option.
The greatsword functions as a serviceable electric weapon for players who have not unlocked Kuku reinforcement yet.
Use it primarily against robotic enemies where even limited electric damage is beneficial.
Once you have access to the Kuku Lightning Spear, consider switching to it for more consistent electric output.
