When the player blocks with the shield and then presses the heavy attack input, the standard shield bash is augmented by a fiery projectile that launches from the cannon built into the shield's dragon-head mouth. 1717 Draconic Retribution comes pre-equipped on the Drake Shield, which is obtained by defeating the Flame Knight boss at the Flame Knight's Castle on the western side of Demeniss. The boss requires story progression to appear (approximately Chapter 7 or later). After defeating the boss and clearing the remaining soldiers, the Drake Shield can be found on the east side of the castle grounds.
