11Overview2233Delesyia is one of the five major regions of the continent of Pywel in Crimson Desert. Known as the technological kingdom, Delesyia stands apart from every other territory on the continent. Where Hernand relies on medieval castles and Demeniss on military tradition, Delesyia has pushed into industrial-age innovation. Factories, workshops, and mechanical infrastructure define the skyline. Robots work the crop fields, drones fly overhead, and a steam train passes through the outskirts of its settlements. Pearl Abyss's Director of Marketing and PR, Will Powers, described the region: "They've really adopted technology. So they have mechs, they have flying robots. This is not your typical fantasy. This is almost leaning a little bit more towards steampunk when you're in this region."4455Delesyia occupies the southeastern portion of Pywel's world map. The region is the wealthiest territory on the continent, owing to its position as a major trade crossroads where merchants and travelers from across the world converge. Its markets stock exotic merchandise not found elsewhere in Pywel, and its tailors and equipment vendors carry inventory lines unavailable in other regions.6677Players typically reach Delesyia during Chapter 10: Counterattack and Chapter 11: Truth and Reality of the main story, though the region is accessible from the start of the game for open-world exploration. Arriving in Delesyia for the first time is a significant tonal shift, as the steampunk architecture and mechanized enemies are a stark contrast to the sword-and-shield conflicts of earlier regions.8899The other four regions of Pywel are Hernand (the starting area), Pailune (the frozen north), Demeniss (political and military center), and The Crimson Desert (lawless red sands). See Regions of Pywel for the full continent overview.10101111Geography and Climate12121313Delesyia's terrain is a mix of mountainous highlands, industrial lowlands, and forested valleys. The region sits in the southeastern part of Pywel, bordered by Demeniss to the northwest. Mount Benus is the most prominent geographic feature in the southern part of the region, serving as a natural landmark visible from much of the surrounding territory. The Chittering Forest covers a large area in the central-eastern portion, while Hushwind Hills roll through the southwest near Dewhaven.14141515Unlike the temperate meadows of Hernand or the frozen tundra of Pailune, Delesyia's landscape is heavily shaped by its inhabitants. Industrial infrastructure, railroad tracks, and mechanical structures are woven into the natural terrain. Factories and workshops dot the countryside alongside traditional buildings, creating a visual blend of nature and engineering that defines the region's identity.16161717The architecture is distinctly steampunk. Brass piping, gear-driven mechanisms, and electrical wiring are visible on buildings throughout the region. Streetlights powered by electricity illuminate the towns at night, a convenience found nowhere else on the continent. The contrast with the medieval stone architecture of Hernand and the military fortifications of Demeniss is immediate and striking.18181919Story Significance20202121Delesyia plays a major role in the later chapters of Crimson Desert's main story. The region is the setting for two full chapters of the narrative. Chapter 10: Counterattack takes place in Gorthak, where Kliff Macduff allies with the Ironflame Orcs and their leader Valgash to repel an assault of clockwork insects and activate the A.T.A.G. mech for the first time. Chapter 11: Truth and Reality moves the story to the capital and Delesyia Castle, where Kliff discovers the unsettling truth about the kingdom's society.22222323The City of Steel quest in Chapter 11 reveals a disturbing scene inside Delesyia Castle. From the escorts to the soldiers, everyone wears Visione helmets and bears the same soulless demeanor. An unidentified entity hovers above the throne while the seated figure remains motionless. Kliff is imprisoned in the castle dungeon after being offered "a moment's rest to think," leading to the Crossroads quest where players must solve a mechanical puzzle involving rotating cog discs to escape the underground area. The Visione helmet, previously used to view Memory Fragments, becomes central to navigating the castle and interacting with its inhabitants.24242525Map Discovery26262727Delesyia's map is initially covered by fog of war, just like every other region. The fastest way to reveal the entire territory is to ring the Toll of Delesyia as part of the Toll of Pywel quest. The bell is located in a clocktower just outside the gates to the Castle of Marni in the northwestern part of the capital city. Ringing it clears the fog across the entire region and summons a Shai Resident NPC who reveals surrounding roads, settlements, and points of interest. See Bell Locations for the full list of bells across Pywel.28282929Players can also fill in the map gradually through natural exploration. Discovered locations, roads, and points of interest appear as Kliff travels through them. However, the bell is by far the fastest method and is worth seeking out early when entering the region for the first time.30303131Fast Travel Points32323333Delesyia contains six Abyss Nexus fast travel points distributed across the region. Players activate these by standing on the round floor plates found in designated search areas. Once activated, these points allow instant travel between any discovered Abyss Nexus locations across all of Pywel. See Fast Travel for the full fast travel system guide.34343535Abyss NexusSub-RegionNotesDelesyia NorthNorthern DelesyiaNear the northern border of the regionDelesyia North (Island)Northern DelesyiaLocated on an island off the northern coastDelesyia Central (Gorthak)Central DelesyiaNear the Gorthak Ironworks research instituteDelesyia TownCentral DelesyiaInside or near the main settlement areaDelesyia South (Mount Benus)Southern DelesyiaNear the prominent Mount Benus landmarkDelesyia South (Dewhaven)Southwestern DelesyiaNear Dewhaven Keep and its research institute3636Key Locations37373838Delesyia is organized around its industrial centers, each adding to the region's technological output. The main story brings Kliff to the region during Chapters 10 and 11, while faction quests and commissions become available as players explore and build reputation with local organizations.72727373Main Story Quests74747575The main story enters Delesyia during Chapter 10: Counterattack, which focuses on the defense of Gorthak and the introduction of the ATAG mech. Chapter 11: Truth and Reality continues in the region with the Brave New World and Foreboding Shadow quest arcs, culminating in the discovery of Delesyia Castle's dark secret and the encounter with the mechanical dragon Golden Star.76767777Chapter 10: Counterattack78787979Chapter 10 takes place primarily in and around Gorthak in northwestern Delesyia. Kliff arrives to find the Gate of Peace entrance to Gorthak in chaos following a clockwork insect assault. Players earn Contribution Points by completing faction quests, turning in bounties, and fulfilling commissions. These points can be spent at the Delesyia Contribution Shop inside Delesyia Castle. Building Contribution before the Visione gate opens means the vendor is immediately fully stocked once you qualify for castle access.90909191Unlocking higher-tier faction quests and associated boss encounters in Delesyia requires progressing through the region's faction questline. Complete a sufficient number of Delesyia faction quests to build reputation and advance faction standing before attempting late-game content.92929393Bosses and Enemies94949595Delesyia's enemies are thematically distinct from those in other regions. Instead of bandits, wolves, and knights, players face mechanized creatures, automated defenses, and technologically enhanced opponents. The region features several major boss battles tied to the main story and faction quests.96969797BossTypeLocationContextMarni's ExcavatronMechanical BossKarin QuarryA massive quarrying machine created by Marni. Encountered during the House Roberts faction quest "Estate in Dismay" (available from Chapter 2 onward). Fought on foot and later with the ATAG mech.Golden StarMechanical DragonMarni's MasteriumA colossal steampunk mechanical dragon with golden plating, built by Marni as a weapon housing a critical power core. Encountered during Chapter 11's Foreboding Shadow arc. The fight revolves around Marni Spears placed around the arena; throwing them fills Golden Star's stun meter, causing it to crash and become vulnerable to damage.9898Golden Star Boss Strategy9999100100Golden Star is the signature boss of the Delesyia region and one of the most memorable encounters in the game. The battle takes place at Marni's Masterium, an abandoned fortress built into a clifftop.101101102102The encounter revolves around Marni Spears: glowing blue metallic pillars placed around the outer edges of the arena. Players interact with them to pull out a spear designed to fill Golden Star's stun meter. Once the stun meter is fully charged, Golden Star becomes unstable and crashes into the arena, giving players a window to deal significant damage.103103104104During the fight, Golden Star keeps constant pressure with wide fire breath sweeps, explosive projectiles, and flame tornadoes. The key is to stay mobile, avoid its area attacks, and look for opportunities to interact with the Marni Spears between attack cycles. Golden Star is also vulnerable to electrical and EMP-based attacks during its ground phase, which can stagger it and create additional damage windows.105105106106Standard Enemies107107108108Standard enemies in Delesyia include mechanical drones, automated patrol units, flying battle robots, and hostile faction soldiers (particularly the Wyvernflames at Windridge Fortress). Mechanized enemies often drop mechanical components used in ATAG upgrades and other crafting recipes. Completing the Mechanical Anatomy Research project at Delesyia Castle increases the drop rate of these components.109109110110Technology111111112112Delesyia's defining characteristic is its technological advancement. The region has pushed well beyond what the rest of Pywel has managed, producing combat mechs, flying robots, trains, and industrial infrastructure that would be impossible in other regions. This section covers the key technological systems players encounter in Delesyia.113113114114ATAG Mech115115116116The All-Terrain Armored Gear (ATAG) is a mechanized combat vehicle that transforms Kliff into a walking tank. Valgash, leader of the Ironflame Orcs, developed it as his secret weapon. It is first introduced during the Chapter 10 main quest "Hidden Ace," where players must learn its controls by destroying 15 practice targets before deploying it against waves of clockwork insects in the defense of Gorthak Ironworks.117117118118The base ATAG comes equipped with a rapid-fire machine gun, a wide-area blast cannon, an EMP discharge, a defense array, and a ramming maneuver. The ATAG exists in multiple configurations with different loadouts. Variants include rocket fists, missile launchers, flamethrowers, and jetpacks. Each variant is marked with an Mk designation visible before entering the mech. Players can approach any available ATAG and interact with it to climb aboard from the rear.119119120120Upgrades for the ATAG are unlocked through research projects at the three institutes in Delesyia. Gorthak Ironworks unlocks the ATAG Cannon, Laser, and Pincers. Delesyia Castle unlocks ATAG Boots Mk. II and III crafting. Dewhaven Keep unlocks the ATAG Fist, Machine Gun, Flamespitter, and Welder. See the Research Institutes section below for full project details.121121122122Mechanical Mounts123123124124Delesyia is the primary source of mechanical mounts in Crimson Desert. In addition to the ATAG mech, the region offers several unique mechanical vehicles not available elsewhere on the continent.125125126126MountTypeHow to ObtainGolden Star MechMechanical DragonDefeat the Golden Star boss. It drops a unique Mount Key that permanently unlocks the Golden Star Mech as a rideable mount.Scout AutomatonUtility VehicleThe preferred vehicle for long-distance mapping and late-game exploration. Sacrifices heavy combat power for utility and speed.War Robot MechHeavy Combat MechThe most powerful mount in the game. Equipped with missiles, conventional bullets, and melee arm attacks that combine with the rider's own attacks for overwhelming force.127127Delesyia Train128128129129The Delesyia Train is a rideable vehicle that runs along active railroad tracks in the region. Unlike most mounts in the game, the train is not tamed or crafted. It is a pre-existing railroad vehicle that players can grapple onto while it is in motion, climb aboard, and ride across the countryside. The train provides a unique traversal option through Delesyia's territory, covering large distances without requiring a personal mount.130130131131Railroad tracks are visible throughout the region, particularly in the southeastern areas and around Tinkerton. Following the tracks will eventually lead players to the train. The train passes through the outskirts of settlements, so keeping an eye on the landscape near towns is a reliable way to find it.132132133133Research Institutes134134135135Delesyia houses three research institutes, making it the most research-dense region in the game. Each institute has its own research tree that players can progress through by investing Silver and time. Research projects unlock new crafting recipes, equipment upgrades, ATAG mech components, and passive bonuses. See Research System for a general overview of how research works.136136137137Gorthak Ironworks Institute138138139139Located in northwestern Delesyia near the Demeniss border. The industrial nature of the region means mechanical components are a common drop from enemies, particularly after completing the Mechanical Anatomy Research project at Delesyia Castle. Standard gathering resources like Iron Ore, Copper, and timber are available at nodes throughout the region.160160161161Mining deposits, including Iron Ore, Copper Ore, Azurite, Diamond, Garnet, and other mineral veins, respawn after approximately 7 in-game days. Forageable nodes such as herbs, mushrooms, flowers, fruits, vegetables, and insects respawn faster, reappearing after roughly two to three in-game days. This makes herb and mushroom loops a reliable source of income and crafting materials in the region.162162163163Key resource considerations for Delesyia include the research institute unlock requirements: 5x Gunpowder for Gorthak Ironworks, 3x Copper for Delesyia Castle, and 1x Diamond for Dewhaven Keep. Players should stock up on these materials before entering the region or plan gathering trips to source them. The Lightning Saw research project at Dewhaven Keep increases timber gathering speed, making it a worthwhile early investment for players who gather wood frequently.164164165165Contribution Shop166166167167The Delesyia Contribution Shop is located inside Delesyia Castle, near the main hall. Seek it out immediately when you arrive to reveal all roads, settlements, and points of interest on the map.Bring Gunpowder, Copper, and a Diamond. Each of the three research institutes requires a specific material to unlock. Having 5x Gunpowder, 3x Copper, and 1x Diamond ready before entering Delesyia lets you start all three research trees immediately.Invest in Mechanical Anatomy Research early. The 10 Silver, 8-hour project at Delesyia Castle increases component drops from mechanical enemies. Since Delesyia is full of mechanical opponents, this passive bonus pays for itself quickly.Keep the Visione equipped in the capital. You can only talk to NPCs in Delesyia town while wearing the Visione helmet. Keep it equipped at all times when visiting the castle and its surrounding area, or you will be turned away at the gates.Follow the railroad tracks. The Delesyia Train runs along active tracks throughout the region. Following the tracks from any point will eventually lead to the train, which provides free long-distance traversal without needing a mount.Build faction reputation early. If your reputation with local factions is hostile, guards and machines will attack on sight. Building positive relationships through faction quests opens up vendors, quests, and safe passage through settlements. Build Contribution before the Visione gate opens so the vendor is immediately stocked when you qualify.Prepare for the ATAG. The mech becomes available during Chapter 10's "Hidden Ace" quest. Familiarize yourself with its controls and weapon systems early, as you will need it for the defense of Gorthak against waves of mechanized enemies.Use ranged attacks against flying enemies. Delesyia's skies are patrolled by drones and flying robots. Bows and guns are more effective than melee weapons against airborne targets. Stock up on ammunition before venturing into drone-heavy areas.Explore the Sanctums. Delesyia has four Sanctum locations (Devotion, Veneration, Faith, and Oblation) tied to the Witch of Humility questline. Restoring these sanctums yields valuable rewards.Visit Delesyia's vendors for unique gear. The region's tailors and equipment vendors carry inventory lines unavailable in Hernand or Demeniss. Visit the markets in the capital to browse exclusive equipment and crafting materials.Solve the Gate to Advancement puzzle. The three-layered rotating disc puzzle on Mount Benus teleports you to the Skypillar Archipelago in the Abyss, unlocking a permanent fast travel point and access to post-game content. This is only available after completing the main questline.
