The Greatsword build for Damiane focuses on wide sweeping attacks that cleave through groups of enemies. The greatsword's extended reach and AoE damage make it the best weapon choice for Damiane when facing the large mob encounters that become common in the mid to late game.

Why Greatsword

Crimson Desert throws increasingly large groups of enemies at you as the story progresses. Damiane's greatsword build handles these encounters well because each swing hits multiple targets. Compared to the rapier (single target focused) or dual weapons (requires more positioning), the greatsword offers the simplest and most effective AoE solution.

Recommended Weapons

Equip the strongest greatsword available for your current chapter. Early in the game, the Absolute Justice Greatsword provides a solid foundation. Upgrade to endgame greatswords as you find them through quests and exploration.

Core Combos

The greatsword's strength is in its combo chains. Here is the primary rotation:

1. Counter Stance: Start by entering Counter Stance to parry an incoming attack. This creates an opening.

2. Charged Stab: Close the gap with a fully charged Stab. This hits hard and positions you in melee range.

3. Running Attack (hold): Hold the running attack input to chain three consecutive hits in quick succession.

4. Charged Smite Attack: Finish the chain with a charged Smite to deal heavy burst damage.

5. Recover stamina and repeat the rotation.

Tips

• Against single tough enemies, use Counter Stance parries to create safe windows for charged attacks.

• Against groups, the running attack chain is the most efficient option since each hit swings wide.

• This build is beginner-friendly; the combos are straightforward and the weapon's range is forgiving.

• Keep your stamina topped up between combos. The greatsword's charged attacks are stamina-hungry.
