Overview

Bran is the tanner of Hernand, operating out of the Hernand Tannery in the City of Hernand. He sells a variety of leathers tanned using ancient techniques passed down through generations. Bran keeps a spinning wheel in a corner of his shop, received as a gift long ago, and practices with it whenever he has a spare moment. By his own admission, he does not seem to be making much progress with spinning, but his leather work is another story entirely. His shop is one of the more specialized vendors in town, focusing exclusively on raw and processed hides.

Location

The Hernand Tannery is in the City of Hernand. You can find Bran inside, usually working on hides. The shop has a distinctive smell that locals have learned to live with.

Inventory

Bran's inventory is small but focused. He carries four types of hide, each suited for different crafting recipes and armor upgrades. Stock is limited, so buy what you need before it runs out.

Bran offers the quest Bran's Request. Completing it improves your relationship with him and may help with Trust progression.

Tips

• Sturdy Hide at 60 Copper is the most expensive item in the shop but is needed for higher-tier leather armor crafting recipes. If you see it in stock, pick it up.

• Thin Hide and Short Hair Hide are both 8 Copper, making them cheap to stockpile. Buy extras when you visit so you have them ready when a crafting recipe calls for leather.

• If you are hunting animals in the wild and already getting hide drops, you may not need to buy from Bran very often. His shop is most useful early on before you have reliable farming routes.

• The limited stock means Bran can run out quickly. Check back after some in-game time has passed and his inventory should restock.
