The Black-Maned Boar Boss is a temporary ground mount in Crimson Desert. It is the elite variant of the Black-maned Boar family, significantly larger and more powerful than the standard or small versions. With 1,035 HP, 195 attack, and 100 defense, this boar boss is one of the strongest temporary mounts available among boar-type creatures.
As a boss-tier creature, the Black-Maned Boar Boss is much more difficult to subdue than regular boars. It hits harder, has more health, and its attacks can stagger Kliff during the taming fight. However, once mounted, it becomes a devastating combat platform with the highest attack power of any boar mount in the game.

The Black-Maned Boar Boss has the highest attack (195) and defense (100) of any boar mount. Its 1,035 HP is over four times the health of a standard Black-maned Boar (230 HP), making it a significantly tougher fight and a far more durable ride.
The Black-Maned Boar Boss must be defeated in combat before it can be ridden:
Locate the Black-Maned Boar Boss in the wild. These elite boars are less common than standard boars and tend to spawn in specific areas, often accompanied by smaller boars.
Engage the boss in combat. Be cautious of its charge attacks, which deal heavy damage and can knock Kliff down.
Continue attacking until the boar collapses from exhaustion. With 1,035 HP and 100 defense, this fight takes considerably longer than subduing a normal boar.
Once the boar is downed, approach quickly and press the ride button to mount it.
The recovery window is very short for boss-tier mounts. Have your finger ready on the ride button as soon as the boar goes down.
