Alden is the general goods merchant of Hernand, running the Provisioner's Shop in the City of Hernand. Easygoing by nature, he enjoys socializing with people more than the act of selling itself. His shop carries the widest variety of any single vendor in town, stocking everything from fishing rods and farming tools to decorative dolls and glass lamps.
The Hernand Provisioner's Shop is in the City of Hernand's commercial district. Alden can be found behind the counter most of the day. His shop is easy to spot by the variety of tools and goods stacked near the entrance.
Alden stocks 32 different items across several categories. Tools are useful for gathering and life skills. Household goods can be placed in player housing or used for quests. Crafting materials are basic components needed for various recipes.

Alden offers the quest Alden's Request. Completing it increases your Trust with him and may expand his inventory.
Buy a Fishing Rod here before heading to any body of water. At 15 Copper, it is one of the cheapest tools in the shop and fishing is a reliable way to earn extra copper.
The Pickaxe (31 Copper) and Logging Axe (29 Copper) are worth picking up early if you plan to gather resources for crafting or quest objectives.
Household items like bowls and plates cost only 2 to 3 Copper each. If a quest asks you to furnish something or deliver tableware, Alden has you covered.
The decorative dolls are surprisingly expensive (2.85 to 4.87 Silver). These are cosmetic items, so only buy them if you want to decorate your living space or give them as gifts.
Crafting materials like Cloth Pieces, Feather, and Small Bone are cheap alternatives to farming these drops from enemies or wildlife.
